National Health Portal has recently launched the “NHP Health -
Directory Services” mobile application to benefit the Indian citizens.
This application has database of hospitals and blood banks across India.
The user friendly application accesses the user location and enables a
person to find nearby hospitals and blood banks.
In order to use this application, your mobile phone must be
connected to the Internet as the application uses GPS to obtain the user
location. GPS needs to be enabled for the app to function. The Android
users can download this app from Google play store. This application is
compatible with Android version 2.3 and above.
This application is a versatile platform wherein the user can get
comprehensive information about a hospital/blood bank, contact details,
e-mail, web address and distance from the current location. The user has
the option of accessing the list of hospital/ blood banks by selecting
the minimum distance of 5Kms and maximum distance up to 100Kms.
