I have seen the mail of Sri Mahadevan about 20% payment to two similarly placed officers,wherein quantum is different. He has himself termed this payment as pittance.Therefore, I , in my earlier msg expressed to ponder whether we should entangle ourselves and LIC on contempt on this issue.Because the resolution of this issue of non payment, less payment,not supplying calculation sheets and so on,as per legal process,may not only take months and months but years and thus our main issue will be sidelined and unduly delayed,and whether it will be in the interest of retirees.
I would also like to clarify to Sri H.K.Aggarwal that there is a difference in following up payment of 20% with LIC and raising this issue in the court.What Sri R,B. Kishore has been doing is following up the matter with E.D.and Chief Personnel so that all retirees may get this 20% in the evening of their lives,as voiced by some friends. He has not gone to court on this issue.In my opinion, what he has been doing is in our interest.We should appreciate his personal efforts and be thankful to him,for taking up a number of issues,relating to the welfare of all the retirees..
