29.10.2015.     There are lot of rumours in the air about the wage-revision & other allied issues. There are some misconceptions too. As per our information:- 1. In yesterday's board meeting, the issues of increase in PL accumulation, Paternity leave, 5 days week, wage-revision, ex-gratia bonus were placed & discussed. The issue of PLLI was not discussed. It will take some time to know the decisions of the Board. 2. One should understand that the main issues linked to Wage-revision are to be cleared by the Finance department. The Board has a role in limited issues. The wage proposal has been already sent for notification. The management has proposed a marginal increase in as many areas as possible. Now the Finance department will decide what to approve & in which areas to approve. 3. It should also be understood that the notification can only be issued after the talks in GIC are completed & their proposal too, is sent for notification. The process in GIC is likely to be completed by 9th November. Thereafter, it is likely that their proposal is sent for notification. Thereafter, the process will begin & the proposal will pass through Finance Department, Legal department & then to Rajbhasha (Hindi) department before it is finally notified. 4. All the news regarding 5 days' week proposal being rejected are rumours. 5. All are requested not to fall prey to speculation & rumours.
