For
vote banking---creating solid voting segments in sections of
populations, promising reservations of all sorts has become normal.
But
when you give reservation, you are also depriving a section of the
population of their rights.
Reservation automatically entails
deprivation.
There is need for a PIL, to make it
mandatory to clearly state the population that is targeted for
deprivation whenever reservation is announced.
By allowing only the
announcement of reservation to a favored section and not stating the
population that will be deprived as a result, is a gross violation of
the fundamental rights of the deprived population.
It is time that a
list of all castes, religions, communities etc, subjected to continuous
deprivation as a result of reservations, are announced along with the
justification for the deprivation.
Whenever new reservations are
announced, clear specification of the people that will be deprived as a
result also shall be made.
Can the repeated deprivation of the same
segment of population, without any change be justified in Law?
