1)I just returned tonight from Bhopal,train late by 1 hour ,to Chennai

Sri S.S.Saxena,AIRIEF President was in the Chair & presided over the 2 day meeting packed with good& refined presentation by all participants & worthwhile interjections from the daisDais was occupied by S/Sri Saxena, PP Sri SKShukla,Anand Tyagi,R.B.Kishore,Treasurer AIRIEF Sri GKrishnaswamy,Bengaluru
2)Agenda was prepared succinctly & with purpose by our President. On 1st November,2015,after registration,the band of dedicated RIEA Bhopal volunteers,working very hard last full month for preparing the schedule of stay, food arrangements ,comforts. liaison with Krishnayan ,Service Apartment authorities ,best one in Central India,Kolar,far from madding crowds,but with open space & all amenities.They had prepared a schedule for these days methodically ,placed it in every room ,decent & good ambience,under overall supervision of MDs Sri Vikarm Singh & his wife Smt Suhashini,so obliging & helping timely if any request comes with a smile.
3) Then came lighting the lamp by all on dais,with a roaring applause signifying an auspicious beginning of a fruitful intellectual intercourse for onward movement of AIRIEF entering 20th year 5 Dec 2015,stupendous star-studded achievements & accolades to its credit.All VPs were seated on right, & all Joint Secretaries,AIRIEF on left. Prayer song was stirring,exciting from the Hindi movie invoking
patriotic sentiments & every participant responded to Sri Pramod Bhatnagars, Secretary, RIEA Bhopal & Joint Secretary, AIRIEF appeal to sing along & indeed it was rapturous.
4)Then followed welcome of Chief Guest SriMihir Kumar Rout,RM(P & IR), CZ,Bhopal & others
Afterwards, SriRout inaugurated the conference.He mentioned he has soft corner for Elders who laid foundation for LIC,many issues confronted by them are genuine, some are problematic concerned with
MOF & some debatable issues.Yet nothing can be left unresolved & attention has to be paid to alleviate their sufferrings.He clarified by replying to many questions & doubts Vote of thanx was proposed by Sri HOGupta,Bhopal
Then came General Secretary's Report by Sri GKrishnaswamy, lucidly presented with his stentorian voice.After few clarifications,next item was taken up by Sri MPAgnihotri,Hyderabad,impeccable legal
qualifications ,a lawyer in his own right.He narrated the historical developments of the unique legal battle for more than 14 years,the forward strides it has taken, the unpardonable adjournments & postponements of the case,the string of victories galore for pensioners & none for the other side,Board Resolution, Hon SJ
Bhandaris verdict admitting both writs of Full DR & continued pension upgradation.LIC appeal getting dismissed, so too LIC review,later SC dismissing LIC SLP on 9 august2013,historic 30 Sep 2015 SC No Stay Order on Jaipur judgement & related matters,the Chandigarh HC Judgement with 12 interest ,the Delhi HC verdict on same lines with 'in rem' for all pensioners.
Sri Agnihotri also touched upon Jaipur CCP & CGH CCP& conversion of all SLPs into CAs which is going on in SC Bench last few months, watched with eagle eyes by all pensioners.He also alluded to
Ahmedabad & Allahabad cases & prayed for a concentrated action on ensuing 18 Nov 2015 .He also made a mention of other miscellaneous court cases pending in courts pertaing to pensioners like, gold coin,
notional 5 year addition to service to qualify for full pension,voluntary retirement.MCJain case etc
5)After lunch,RBKishore ,VP,AIRIEF made an elaborate presentation on Looking Back & Looking forward ,an extempore for 80 minutes,punctuated by data & statistics,the great pageant of AIRIEF adding continuously feathers in its cap,the tributes to earlier Leaders of AIRIEF to make the Fedn what it is today,the challenging environment ahead with delay & dither by LIC& Govt,the continued enthusiasm displayed by all pensioners for having achieved many glorious advantages like FFP with
maximum Optional SA Limit of Rs 15 lacs,the ECards issued by TPAs,the followup done with CO Top Mgt assertively,the likely mediclaim premium deductions from pension for 12 months April --March FY,when it
comes a great boon,the enhanced, missionary role required to be donned by VPs, JSs ,Dy GSs,Every RIEA as a strong limb to emerge with maximisation of numbers & bubbling activity & meetings,interspersed
with ZO/DO wise microscopic data dissected & to concentrate 1st on weaker Zones & 4-6 RIEAs in each Zone with powerful fup to brudge the gap & enrol maximum members to our fold, of all classes,the only Umbrella organisation to suit all needs .
6)Reporting by RIEA Divisional Units was taken up in alphabetical order & lot of new endeavours undertaken, the membership levy, the legal fund, HM VVaani subscriptions came out in a panorama with big,
medium & small units & those in arrears promising to pay very soon to be uptodate to respond to Presidents call
Night dinner was graced by RM P&IR & RMOS,Smt SarikaGarg.She listened to many issues told by delegates in a roving buffet dinner & was clear in her enunciation & understanding of the problem,She was prepared to consider shifting of pension Cell etc/OS to ground FDloor after initial preparations of logistics.
7)Next day also, reporting of remaining units was taken up,then reporting by AIOS Sri B.Angurajan who traversed the area undicating improvements noticed in membership,the AIRIEF Website progressing on
desired lines.the touring etc done & to be done with SZ full Pensioners List & REtirees list as also Commuted pension Restoration cases for next 2 year list to be fup vigorously.
Sri AKShukla narrated his efforts & endevours & pointedly & poignantly briefed of lack of mobility, old age blues, no adequate response to his phone calls 7 wanted positive intervention to bring lasting results sooner with an Action Plan to be proposed by AIRIEF leadership.
8)Then JSys made their role briefing, steps taken, success & failures & proposed measures for ensuing year to makr a Historic 20 Year AIRIEF history to be etched in letters of gold
9)Filling up of vacancies in EC,Reconstitution of Committees,Sri GKrishnaswamy elected as GS AIRIEF with resignation of Sri NNarayana due to very poor health. Sri VJayaprakash,as Treasurer,Legal Committee
including Sri SN Chhabra,Negotiating Committee,VVaani Editorial Board & Advisory Committee etc
10)ZM, CZ,Bhopal,Sri KSNagnyal addressed the session.He was mentioning about cultural & generational changes happening & it is essential both sides realise the gravity of the situation & introduce measures to reflect such rising aspirations with genuine backup analysis.He participated in the lunch ,mingled with the delegates
11)Smt G Subbalaksmi, Editor VVaani pointed out how VV has grown,delved on problems, change of address, missing subscriptions, no renewal done on time though included in VV issues,she was empathetic to suggestions received. Whatever the leadership suggests, she will gladly respond ,whether Qly or Monthly
12)Sri AnandTyagi started with a Sanskrit recitation & dazzled the audience recording his gallant persoanl rapport not only with LIC Top Mgt but also MOF,Cabinet Sy Sri Ajit Sheth then, Sri Mishra now & such dialogues are useful to break resistance making way for some good progress.He recalled many instances of his earlier stint with LIC Chairman, MDs etc, cordiality to the core,better appreciation of issues.He promised he will do all he can as a humble strategist ,& after SC Verdict,when called upon, he will certainly ensure quicker attention & disposal of arreras or whatever to fullest satisfaction of all pensioners & AIRIEF. He profusely praised Dy GS Delhi Sri DDGupta for his useful work ,always at beck & call & sure Delhi will zoom sooner
13)Sri SKShukla spoke graphically of the long stint he had, the problems faced, the successes scored, the painstaking 2 valuable Booklets on Kurukshetra Legal battle & Charter of Demands printed
Booklet prepared with great professional care & canvas..a feather in AIRIEF cap, the various meetings held,the Court victories galore,death of his wife unsettling & many many deficiencies removed, cashless
service restiored et all He was optimistic that SC Bench will ultimately clear our case in fullest favour for we pensioners,with the remarkable progress made & his own observations while he attended SC
proceedings
14)Organisational matters, summing up by GS, AIRIEF who got an ovation on his election, Treasurer Sri Jayaprakash introduced gave an aura & aroma of the session
During lunch break all who gave duly completed travel vouchers in prescribed format were promptly settled.As is customary, many RIEAs gave whatever dues or donations they have brought.It was a festive
occasion, fruitful session

16)President Sri SSaxena wanted RIEAs to bring their Directory, House Magazine & any Good,novel feature practised or introduced so that others can emulate at the earliest.He also showered praise on Top

He continued with his Task Ahead for AIRIEF & the Journey of the Future.
We had to leave,rushed to room, took our luggage ,went to lounge to depart.SCZ some had left by van arranged.Myself, S/sri angurajan & TRMadhava Rao,the MD himself Sri Vikram offerred to drive to Bhopal Station & timely help by his wife MD Smt Suhashini ,we remember with gratitude
All in all, a packed subject matter,vunseful interventions & healthy practices, discipline & decorum, fine food for the belly, food for thought, a resolve to make significant improvements in reach &
