POSITION OF WAGE NOTIFICATION

As per our information, now our file is with Director, Insurance. We are making all out efforts to have it released in this month. We will keep you updated about our efforts in the coming days. Meanwhile, we request you not to believe in any rumours. Some have spread a rumour that the file has been returned back with lot of queries. This is not true. Queries about minor one or two points have been raised & we are sure that the management has answered them effectively.
**MIS-INFORMATION CAMPAIGN BY SOME PEOPLE**
While on the subject, a certain union which always tries to score political brownie points has tried to vitiate the atmosphere by making certain allegations against NOINO, without naming it, though the reference is obvious. They have made several baseless statements. Let us examine the issues:-
1. "Certain unions in power(whatever that means-but an obvious reference to NOINO) are undermining the contribution of the joint front"-It is a laughable statement coming from those who steadfastly refused to be a part of the joint front in the previous wage-revisions of 2002 & 2007. NOINO, since its formation has been a part of the joint front on the issue of wage-revision & allied issues, IRRESPECTIVE OF WHO IS IN POWER, unlike these worthies who joined the joint front only when their political masters lost power.
2. "Why is the file pending for more than 45 days-Please ask this question".
A. What was the time gap in the previous wage-revision? In 2007, the final offer was given on 19.7.2010. The notification was issued on 8.10.2010, i.e. nearly three months. Now, the final offer was given on 16.10.2015. We all know that there was a delay on the part of GIC to send its proposal(probably in the second week of November 2015). It is expected that the notification may be issued this month. Thus the actual time gap may be little over 1 month. We would humbly like to remind these gentlemen that the gap of nearly three months in the previous wage-revision was when their political masters were ruling. We would also like to remind that their President was also a Minister in UPA government.
B. However, we have never raised such political questions at that time. We are not interested in such things. Currently too, a case is going on which has grabbed the National attention. We could have raised it to score few points. However, it goes against our grain to rake up such issues since it would divert our attention from our primary goal, viz; welfare of the employees.
We appeal to all concerned not to vitiate the atmosphere. We have to fight many battles in the future which include the issue of one more option for pension. Let bygones be bygones.
