***NOINO NEWS***LIC WAGE NOTIFICATION STATUS

14.1.2016.

***NOINO NEWS***

As usual, some vested interests are spreading rumours that the LIC wage notification is being delayed as it is being linked to mobility.

We wish to say that the draft mobility policy has nothing to do with the non-issue of wage notification. The fact is, the wage notification is READY. However, earlier, it was mooted that first the wage notification will be issued & then the 5 days' week notification will follow.

There were apprehensions from some quarters, ably fuelled by rumours from vested interests that 5 days' week notification may not be issued if it doesn't come along with the wage notification.  A large section of employees is equally eager( & impatient) about the issue of 5 days' week notification. As per our information, the management is also keen about simultaneous issue of both the notifications.
Hence, now it is likely that both the notifications will issued simultaneously.
There is a (mistaken) perception that the notification process is taking long. One can easily verify the time lag during the last wage-revision after the final proposal & the notification & understand that this is the usual time taken for the entire process.

As far as the draft transfer mobility policy is concerned, NOINO will give its detailed response shortly. We have made some basic points crystal clear LONG BACK:-

1. A comprehensive promotion policy should be drafted first. Only after that transfer & posting(not mobility) policy can logically follow. As it is, officers are stagnating. Without a comprehensive promotion policy, it would be adding insult to injury.

2. Recruitment in Class III/IV is the solution to the present scenario, not mobility.

One more news that is doing rounds is that there is a proposal for commencing the negotiations in the banking industry due on 1.11.2017. We confirm this news.
This is a welcome move by the government. We can expect the same in LIC too, after the notification process is over.
