The
above organisation met with minister of state, finance at his home
office on 19.01.2016 with a delegation of office bearers and brought to
his knowledge the unresolved issues of bank retirees as under.
1.100%
d.a. neutrialisation to pre 1.11.2002 retirees.2. Enhancement of family
pension.3. Revision of pension to retirees whenever salary revision
extended to existing employees.4. discrepancy in agreed medical
care/domiciliary treatment expenses denied to retirees by united india
insurance.etc.
The
minister patiently heard the views of union office bearers and conveyed
govts constraints in extending the facilities to retired pensioners.
The forum in turn exphasized most of retirees issues are non issues and
for the rest pension fund preserved by banks are adquate to meet the
retirees just requirements. The minister was convinced and assured to
convene a tripartite meeting of iba, ufba and retiree union numbering 5
at the earliest to find our amicable solution. Indeed is a welcome
step.
Hope
this might be known to aibrf also. Why they have so far not take n
any steps to meet the respective authorities. Now atleast on hearing
the good news, hope our aibrf on its 10.2.2016 meeting with
iba, voiciforously raise our issues and make inroad for an early
solution.
