The
Tamil Nadu government on Sunday announced the annual Pongal bonus for
its employees, teachers, pensioners and family pensioners.Group C and Group D government employees as well as teachers will get bonus up to Rs 3,000.
Group A and B employees and those who have completed service of more than 240 days including Anganwadi workers and labourers would get a special bonus of Rs 1,000. Pensioners and family pensioners will get Rs 500 as bonus.
In a statement, chief minister J Jayalalithaa said, ”Totally, Rs 326.85 crore will be spent on distributing bonus for government employees and others.”
