Dear Sri Sahni,
1)Yet again a wonderful, useful Chart to fill the vacuum, when CO blinks, when Chief P tells me last week ,after April 2016, I insisting ,in good faith & as an automatic sequel, when a New Offer is given, fullest data & chart must be there before the Employees/Pensioners to enable them to arrive at right rational decision
2)What can fresh entrants do or anyone for that matter, if deficient CO Circular is issued with some ultimatum & deadline 10 march 2016 ,is anybodys guess
Let us hope wisdom prevails & sooner ,without loss of time, CO issues a circular enabling one to choose correct OSA.
3)U have stepped in & done the right thing
*yes, gross premium for all age groups for OSI 20 lacs is app 6 % more over over gross premium for OSI 15 lacs
*out of 7 age groups 0-35 to 76 +, while, as normal premium rise,will be minimal at 1st 3 age groups,0-35.36-45,46-55,it shows a range of Rs 400,600,700,& 800,1000,1200,1400/1500 at age 76+ ,Table A for Employees/Retd Employees etc,Category I ,Rs6 lacs, & for TableB & for Dependants etcRs50/60. 80/100, 160/180,
the rise jumps to Rs 250,300,370,400/500 for age groups 56-65, 66-70, 71-75, 76 +
*Obviously, some similarity of graded rise is noticeable for all Subsidised premium
*While for Category I , rise in premium app looks to be 9.15%,Category II,9.2%, & for Category III 8.2% over earlier OSA.
4)I am sceptical ,on the basis of earlier experience, when pensioners did not choose Higher OSA but confined to Basic SA where subsidy was avaialable & some pensioners chose Rs8,& 10 lacs.Even Rs 12 lacs was minimal & little takers for OSA Rs 15 & 20 lacs
Though Chief P said Mumbai badly wanted Higher OSA,SZ Data showed no inclination for pensioners to opt for HIGHER.HIGHEST SA.
5)It is possible New India may ,knowing lean preference presumably, may tempt with a slightly lesser premium to enrol more in these 2 Highest Slabs
Normally, for advanced ages,Insce cos show a detestation & it was AIRIEF long before, which removed Maximum age limits etc unjustly imposed to see Exits from mediclaim scheme
6)This CO Circular is welcome for New entrants & ALL those who went out of the Mediclaim scheme MUST STEP IN, TAKE ADVANTAGE & CHOOSE what their Family position warrants & exercise OPTION WITHOUT FAIL to thank us all for enabling this to materialise in 2016-17
