Classic Insults

Shri R B Kishore,
Esteemed Sir,
I thoroughly enjoyed the humorous witty repartees of great people to the criticisms
levelled against them. The words used by them in doing so were so discreet and
powerful, and allowed no chance to the critics to rebut these witticisms but to pocket
them, but regretting the remarks they made in humiliation !
Our first parliament had such extraordinary parliamentarians, who had the sharp
intelligence to face any criticism with a sense of humour and equanimity, without
meaning any offence personally, but carrying out their intent forcefully using words
born out of experience and worldly wisdom !

I find with utter dismay how energies are being frittered away even on very simple
matters, as reporting as to what transpired in the Court on a particular day. The
proceedings cannot be different for different people. What the affected fraternity
needs to know whether the sickeningly long-drawn litigation has reached a stage
when the outcome has any relief to offer them. They are, I think, least interested
in the different versions of the facts, analysis and interpretations profusely indulged
in by persons of varied interests to their own advantage !

The time is now ripe for shedding these inhibitions and work singly or in unison,
if possible, towards leading the aggrieved pensioners to the targeted goal !

I do hope that these observations from a non-discript pensioner will be construed
in the right perspective and the needed future action will proceed in the desirable
direction of achieving results !
With best regards,
A. BALASUBRAMANYA
