Revered Sir,
1)True, Good old days are good old daysIn many respectsSafety & security was there.Today hell let loose by Hooligans, Terrorists,& law & order deteriorationCitizens mute spectatorsEven quality of Products, commodities, Vehicles, Cars fine & even exemplaryToday fabulous costs, meaningless ads,20 kms per litre, but not even 10 kms per litre performance.Cost so high & prohibitive. With all deficiencies, we did not have this robot life we experience now. What a mosaic of family & social relationship we had.
Joint family system had its own charms.Children, as now, are not let loose. If parents are busy, other so many relations take turn, guide, mentor,I remember my 2nd eldest brother, who remained a bachelor, late Sri TR Anantharaman to get married our 2 sisters & educate Ramesh & myself, used to coach 14 ,including we, other tenants children at Chintadripet,.He was a tough taskmaster, but lo, all progressed well in academics & later lives, emerged as worthy citizens.Where is education, Sir, quality deteriorated, Teachers less said the better, we still remember Teachers of Schools, College, University Professors & have high regard of them
2)Coming to Pontiac, just like little kids today,we also noted the various car brands & manufacturers of yester years, recounted them, compared them etcPontiac,if I am not wrong, used to have 5 distinctive lines. That strife-torn area ,ur Chittappa cld traverse with confidence indicated not only his courage but fair sense of better unity prevailed3)Wave of freedom & independence prior to 8/1947 also counted a lot ,as citizens & guiding stars of politicians, unlike today's politicians, really last refuge of scoundrels, had real interests of country at heart & breathed patriotism & true nationalismWe are fed up with unwanted criticism ,caustic comments, sarcasm, meaningless utterances, obstacles to, progress being initiated with all seriousness by PM Modi.4)Why look at apathy of LIC Mgt,many Divns March Pension credited, not even on 2nd, 3rd & Thanjavur 4th April late evening after server problem was rectified, after I spoke to SDM Sectt
Employees, they will pay on last but one day of month, not Pensioners !
How much after taking up, fighting with Mgt, we got like the Boon Family Floater Policy & now even Rs 25 lacs, Rs 30 lacs offerred
5/2010 AIRIEF got from Mgt 75 % rebate in Premium
Point is what shd take 3 yrs, takes 6 yrs. 2 yrs, 4 yrs, 1 year, 2 years
12 Mly deductions we pursued for 5/6 yrs.We are so glad, NO ONE will now go out of the Mediclaim scheme.
Pensioners Portal 4 yr old 4 page valuable suggestion by us,still going on & on,WHY because we are dumb, no power, political power, lung power, money power ?All other cadres have Portals long beforeHow much time I spend talking, meeting ZO officials, all pensioners decns CO only, slow yatra, remind, remind,Employees got arrears in 48 hrsIt took 1/8/2012 retirees wage & Retirement arrears after 2 months, why different criteria, we can take up later attitude Jawab naiWhy, Pension fixation & pension arrears not attended to ,wa goes on & on
Because we are here, but for how long,60/65/70 yrs old are unwilling to enter, Fabulous salary, peak Retirement benefits, any car, any phone, loan so so liberal, look at CV of Pension, it looks like another Pension.
Ring up any BO, u wont get connection, where is human response, how useful, progressive, mental makeup, we oldies created in employees as part of HRD,We don't know now who is HRD ED, what HRD is doing, any Magazine we don't know, sad Human Capital is not given adequate & vital importance it requires
U all attached so much shine & importance to ZTC, MDC, U made us vie with one another,Magazines have become 4 pages Mly, unlike older years Qly 64pages with quality all-round holistic stuff We shed tears
Sorry sir, I have taken the liberty with U as u were one who wished well every one,. UR talks were so homely with wit & wisdom, None can beat u in innate humour, u make us laugh & laugh, U are a master in English ,Hindi & other languages,u wore even languages with pride,so to say
Nobody is belittling any present rate of progress or achievement, but one detests delay , no alertness ,less responsiveness, no empathy etc& this is repulsive for we elders, Sr citizens & Super Sr Citizens.Greetings & warm regards,R.B.KISHOREVP,AIRIEF------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Kishore. It is a logical and a wonderful story. I read through it because
of the name Pontiac. It reminded me of 1940 when India was one
and my grand father (Chittappa thatha) left Simla munipality and
joined Jammu & Kashmir Govt. as its Chief Engineer. He went to
Lahore bought a Pontiac there enroute and drove on to Srinagar
The price tag was less than RS 5000/-He did not feel unsafe and
drove himself. He was 44 years old. Many of these things cannot be done today by an Indian !
I wonder how many queries can be raised in this incident .Love

Subject: Fwd: Vanilla Ice Cream That Puzzled General Motors!
An Interesting Story
Never underestimate your Clients'Complaint, no matter how funny it might
seem! This is a real story that happened
between the customer of General Motors And its Customer-Care
Executive. Pls read
on..... A complaint was received by the Pontiac
Division of General
Motors:'This
is the second time I have written to you, and I don't
blame you for Not
answering me, because I sounded crazy, but it is a fact
that we have a
Tradition in our family of Ice-Cream for dessert after
dinner each
night, but the kind of ice cream varies so, every night,
after we've
eaten, the whole family votes on which kind of ice cream we
should have
and I drive down to the store to get it. It's also a
fact that I recently purchased a New Pontiac and
since then my trips to the store have created a
problem... You
see, every time I buy a vanilla ice-cream, when I start
back from the
Store my car won't start. If I get any other kind of ice
cream, the car
Starts just fine. I want you to know I'm serious about
this question, no
Matter how silly it sounds, "What is there about a
Pontiac that makes
it not Start when I get vanilla ice cream, and easy to start
whenever I
get any Other
kind?" The Pontiac President was
understandably skeptical about
theLetter, but sent an Engineer to check
it out anyway.
The
latter was surprised to be greeted by a successful,
obviously well
Educated man in a fine neighborhood. He had arranged to meet
the man
just After dinner time, so the two hopped into the car and
drove to the
ice Cream store. It was vanilla ice cream that night and,
sure enough,
after They came back to the car, it wouldn't
start. The
Engineer returned for three more nights. The first night,
they got
Chocolate. The car started. The second night, he got
strawberry. The car
started. The third night he ordered vanilla. The car
failed to start.
Now the engineer, being a logical man,
refused to believe that this man's car was allergic to
vanilla ice cream. He arranged, therefore, to continue
his visits for as long as it took to solve the problem. And
toward this end He began to take notes: He jotted down
all sorts of data: time of day, type of gas uses, time to
drive back and forth
etc. In
a short time, he had a clue: the man took less time to buy
vanilla than
Any other flavor. Why ? The answer was in the layout of the
store.
Vanilla, being the most popular flavor, was in a separate
case at the front of the Store
for quick pickup. All the other flavors were kept in the
back of the
store at a different counter where it took considerably
longer to check
outThe
flavor. Now, the question for the Engineer was
why the car wouldn't start when it took less time.
Eureka - Time was now the problem - not the vanilla ice
cream! The engineer quickly came up with the answer:
"vapor
lock".It
was happening every night; but the extra time taken to get
the other
Flavors allowed the engine to cool down sufficiently to
start.
When the man got vanilla, the engine
was still too hot
for the vapor lock to
dissipate. Even
crazy looking problems are sometimes real and all problems
seem to be
simple only when we find the solution, with cool
thinking. Don't just say it is
"IMPOSSIBLE" without putting a sincere
effort...
What really matters is your attitude
and your
perception.
