Law is supposed to be a law applicable even to one's own son-in-law

Category  :  General

   It is disheartening to note that there is a sense of uncertainty among employees and pensioners of their future in the hands of the present day bureaucracy Their safety, committed towards their fundamental rights guaranteed under our Constitution, appears to be in peril due to the changing approach of the present day rulers towards working class. We could see hullabaloo everywhere in the midst of working force. What to talk about the retired pensioners ?
   Take for instance the following :-
   ````````````````````````````````````````````
   1. The revision of pension accorded by RBI to its pensioners are stalled by the bureaucracy and the issue is pending with Bombay HC. Though years have passed and the employees ( working and retired ) are constantly agitating, the powers in the helm sit tight and keeps dead- silence without resolving it.
   2. The issues of ' Neutralization of DA and Up-gradation of Pension ', that were raised by the representatives of all classes of live associations in the Banking Sector during wage-revision negotiation, were dropped from being further insisted, due to some unexpected developments. Though IBA desires an early settlement, the big Boss has not yet opened his eyes, we suppose.
   3. We are all well aware as to what extent the Ex-Servicemen  --  lakhs in numbers --  are exerting since more than a decade to find an amicable settlement --  One Rank One Pension --at the hands of the bureaucracy, even after the nod of our Great Parliament. After having exhausted all their persuasion and meaningful dialogue with the authorities, they have now decided to move the supreme Court.
   4. Lakhs of Central Govt. employees are not satisfied with the proposed recommendations of 7th Pay Commission with regard to monetary and other service conditions. They have served strike notice. The govt keeps mum.
& 5 In spite of clear-cut Orders High Courts of Jaipur Branch of Rajasthan , Chandigarh  and Delhi , LIC & UOI refuse to implement the judgments. They prefer dragging the erstwhile employees up to the level of supreme Court to see that they are finally defeated. Still doubts linger whether the bureaucracy would implement the final verdicts of the Highest judicial Forum. Employees should be prepared to face that unforeseen situation also.
   We are to see whether the following famous declaration will come true in our case; we have to wait and see.
   " Government of the people, By the People and For the People "
M.P.Subrahmanian.
