Our Bank's mistakes in debiting Insurance Premium of retirees
We have received following types of complaints
from some of our members about the Bank's mistakes in debiting their Insurance
Premiums.
(1) Premium is debited at the lower rate - according to
Option I (i.e. without domiciliary treatments) though the Formats were filled
in for Option II (i.e. with domiciliary treatments).
(2) Premium is debited at the higher rate - according to
Option II (i.e. with domiciliary treatments) though the Formats were filled in
for Option I (i.e. without domiciliary treatments) or no format was filled in.
(3) Premium is not yet debited
(4) Though the formats for withdrawal from the insurance
cover were submitted, the premium is debited.
In such cases, the members should take following
steps.
(1) If the Option Form
was sent by e-mail, the same e-mail (along with its attachment) should be
re-forwarded to Ms. Padma Nilkantam, Assistant General Manager (HR), Union Bank
of India, Central Office, Mumbai on her e-mail ID
< pneelkantan@unionbankofindia.com
> requesting her to correct the mistake.
(2) If the Option Form
was handed over to the Pension Paying Branch with acknowledgment of an Official
of the Branch, a scanned copy of the acknowledged format should be sent by
e-mail to her.
(3) If the Option was
exercised 'on line', the Assistant General Manager (HR) should be
intimated by e-mail the reference / acknowledgment number generated at the time
of filing and requesting her to make necessary modifications.
Please
endorse copies of your e-mails to our Association on e-mail ID < ubiretirees@gmail.com > and also to the Principal Office Bearer of
our Association in your area, so as to enable us to pursue the matter with
the management directly as well as through Shri R.K.Powar, General Secretary,
All India Union Bank Retirees' Federation.
This
e-circular is basically meant for the members of our Association. However, as
per our practice, its copies are being endorsed to others just for their
information. They should act according to the guidance / opinion of their
Associations.
The
Bank was expected to place on its web site late night to-day the
up-dated list of the retirees who have opted for Option I or II or
Withdrawal. But still it is not placed there. In the meantime, if the members
are sure that the Bank has committed any type of mistake mentioned above, they
should intimate by e-mails to the Assistant General Manager (HR) as
suggested above.
Yours sincerely,
B.G.Raithatha,
General
Secretary,UBREA,
