Ministry of Finance has released answer to 7 myths that is circulated in social media. We have covered them point by point
Myth-1: Next step of Govt will be to seal all the Bank Lockers and to confiscate the jewellery/bullion from all the persons
Truth: This is baseless and incorrect ,Govt has no proposal to seal the lockers and to confiscate jewellery/bullion.
Myth-2 : The quality of Rs 2000/- is up to the Mark. Colour is fading day by day
Truth :A security sign is in the 2000/- note .Which is called intaglio printing .The check whether a note is fake or not ,rub the note with a cloth,which leads to turbo electric effect due to this reason ,color of note will be transferred on the cloth.
Myth-3 :Demonetisation is only a myth and persons will find other ways to keep the black money .Industrialist and businessman are on Job to find a solution to this problem.
Truth :The enforcement agencies have a close look on the situation.Necessary amendment has already been made in Benami property act and Treaties with other nation to share the information regarding Black money.
Myth 4:A chip has been installed on all the New 2000/- notes to keep a close look on Black money deposit.
Truth :This is fictitious story .No chip has been installed in such notes.
Myth 5 :The cost of demonetisation is much more than the profit from it.

Myth 6 :The PM is going to announce demonetisation of Rs 100 and Rs 50 as well
Truth :Baseless,There is no proposal under consideration to demonetisation of Notes of any other Denomination.
Myth 7 :The news had been already been leaked to Industrial houses and party members
Truth :Total confidentiality has been kept in this matter. No person is aware of preparation of demonetisation.
