DHC 's reserved order pronounced-Disappointing news

DEAR ALL,
Ar 2.25P.M today, I received a phone call from Ms Renuka advocate for Chandigarh petitioners informing that  Justice Khanna pronounced an order in favour of LIC  stating in the operative part that LIC has complied with the directions of the Supreme Court  dated 31/3/2016.
The detailed order will be uploaded tomorrow after which it will be circulated.
No doubt the order is disappointing, but we need to go through the detailed order considering the that the Bench has taken 24 days after reserving it to pronounce the order. We had, in our rejoinder to the revised counter of LIC,provided sufficient data  to point out inadequacy in payment of 40% IR by LIC including the fact that no payment was made to family pensioners.
Against this backdrop, the order is not only disappointing, but also puzzling  when viewed from a logical perspective.
After going through the detailed order Hyderabad Association will  explore the options of approaching the Supreme Court with an appeal against the HC order.
For now,let us await the order.
I personally feel that there is no cause for despair as the grounds are quite strong for challenging the order at the Supreme Court and we will have an opportunity to clearly know what  Hon'ble Justice Deepak Misra  had in mind while  issuing the directions in para 27 of  the judgment dated 31/3/2016.
Greetings.
C H Mahadevan
