CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ELEVATION AS MD

Dear Sri Hemant Bhargava,         Congratulations on your elevation as MD

1)At the outset, please  accept our heartiest congratulations on your elevation as MD.Our joy knows no bounds.

2)My memory goes back to MDC days, when enthusiastic young persons, selected in a competitive examination & after due process, joined this great Institution,LIC.Young Direct Recruits, fired with hopes & aspirations, reported for training at MDC for a holistic Theoretical & Practical Training ,coupled with multi-dimensional facets of exhibiting their talents in various disciplines & bravely facing all the detailed ,comprehensive Syllabus necessary to lay a strong foundation building up confidence to face reality & undergoing training at all levels BO,DO,ZO,CO & Field work,That was then way back. You all shone well in the gruelling but rewarding experience of managing well & commenced your  journey to become a noteworthy Leader. If it was said of Dr Johnson that there was nothing which he did not touch, which he did not adorn .So too ,I felt it suits your calibre aptly judged by the kaliedoscopic assignments you were called upon to shoulder.
Our hearts go out to you to salute you for the qualities of head & heart you displayed

3)I recall we met at Mumbai in early years of your career,as also when you were ED Marketing. It was a historic occasion at Chennai, to hoist Chairmans Club Convention, with a bubbling field force , a sea of humanity, waiting for celebrations to welcome you all as Top Management .That was at World Trade Centre,Nandambakkam.S/Sri Thomas Mathew,Sushoban Sarker,MDs,your kind self as ED Mktg, D.D.Singh as ZM ,SZ & many dignitaries were present. Then Chairman Sri Dinesh Mehrotra ,who was at Bluru for official assignment with then FM, a wonderful teleconference speech was  telecast for the benefit of assembled CMClub agents & others. All past Chairman, MDs,EDs, ZMs,Senior executives were present in the spacious hall.

I was delighted to listen to your speech & presentation, with macro & micro analysis of new business & premium, studded with statistics ,the series of progressive measures LIC has introduced for the benefit of CMClub members & the many privileges showered on them.We elders could glean the forward march of LIC with giant strides, thanx to vigorous efforts & strategy by you & the team of dynamic leaders. You also adorned the posts of ZM,EZ,Kolkata, then ZM,NZ. All of us could spend happy intimate moments, after function was over, over a cup of tea ,exchanging pleasantries  with top notch executives who have made LIC what it is today

4)While we extend a hearty welcome to you as MD of this noble service & financial institution, we appeal to you, with all sincerity & modesty , to play your part, in displaying empathy for Sr Citizens & Pensioners ,whose lot has to be elevated  much further. While employees interests are well taken care of,there is disappointment, that status of pensioners is static & needs to be redressed to fulfil their Charter of Demands. Now negotiations with New India is taking place to finalise 2017-18 Family Floater Mediclaim policy conditions, for which  also we have given our suggestions.Last year ,more than 40% spurt in premium was heart-breaking for Pensioners in particular. We suggested doubling of Basic Sum Assured ,to alleviate or reduce the unusual rise in premium .What we need is more benefits because of a large  sizeable coverage & zero rise in premium, as many pensioners are wanting to reduce OSA chosen because of inability to bear the high premium.

5)Once again congratulations, a hearty welcome & we are confident we shall see soon the mark & imprint of your personality.

Happy & Prosperous New Year 2017, a glorious March closing, a thumping VBYP sales announced in Budget, details awaited

Yours sincerely,
