DEAR ALL,
At
the outset, we are grateful for the overwhelming support extended both
morally and financially for the legal fight from the Hyderabad
Association of retired LIC Class I Officers at the Delhi High Court ever
since we filed our Writ Petition..For a small Association like ours ,
the total contribution that flowed to the extent of over Rs 37 lks
across the country from the inception speaks volumes of the
confidence reposed in our Association for carrying out the legal
struggle towards a successful outcome.
Of
course considering the nature of legal process and the imponderables in
our path we are still running into deficit to the extent of Rs 47.90
lks by way of outstanding legal fees, expenses reimbursable and
amounts borrowed from well-wisher pensioner friends.
This
apart, we have to prepare for the further likely cost of litigation
that is likely to take place at Supreme Court after the judgment at DHC
is delivered which is expected any time in the near future. Even in the
event of a favourable outcome, we need to fight at SC as Respondents at
no small financial cost.Even at the present juncture, when we are in
heavy deficit,it can be visualized how financially challenging the
fight ahead is going to be at the Supreme .Court.
Against
this background,we decided to approach our pensioner friends for their
valuable contributions to our Legal Fund so that we will be enabled to
successfully complete our mission for the benefit of the pensioners at
large having reached a reasonably satisfactory stage as of now even
while coming out of the financial deficit that we are in at present.
We
have already shared the details of the prevailing situation in the
meetings with groups of pensioners in meetings at some centres like
Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam,Kolkata & Chennai through the visits of Mr M
Sreenivasa Murty.I joined Mr Murty in the meeting at Chennai on 25th
inst.
We earnestly
request your kind co-operation through your generous and valuable
contributions.I attach the joint appeal by me & Mr M Sreenivasa
Murty in this regard.
Greetings
for a Happy Ugadi/GudiPadva( New Year for Telugu,Kannada &
Maharashtrian pensioners) & general Greetings for other pensioners.
Thankfully yours,
C H Mahadevan
