Let us continue to be ourselves.

Respected LIC Pensioner Colleagues,
   Cheers !
A state of lull prevails upon our further strategies, after having fought a thorough ' Mega Legal Battle ' at DHC against a ' Mighty Bureaucracy '. We witnessed and enjoyed their unscrupulous arguments put forth before the court with a determined malafide conspiracy to deny our legitimate twin demands. Our Sr.Counsel deserves rounded applause and full-scale appreciation for having shattered their baseless and imaginary quotes with banging counter quotes. Whether one likes it or not, we are bound to recognize the initial efforts of our great vice-president Sri. K.M.L. Asthana. But for him, the present developments on our monetary losses and the legal efforts could not have come to this far at all. It will be a sin on our part if we do not recognize the strenuous and hours-long efforts taken by our leaders, including that of our VP, Sri. R.B.Kishore, for the emergence of the historic ' Board Resolution '. Though the Apex Court has set aside the orders of the HCs concerned, the force of the judgments of Single & Double Benches of Jaipur Branch of Rajasthan HC have played a vital role in the subsequent hearings at DHC, because of powerful and convincing presentation.  Sr.Counsel Sri. Nidesh Gupta has wonderfully argued on the findings of Nakkara Commission and a spate of other earlier favourable similar judgments which have got direct bearings on our issues.
Not a minute was allowed to go waste from the house of Sri. RBK without carrying the important & relevant points to be considered by the ' Legal Committee ' , which, in turn, used to forward them to our Sr.Counsel for his legal scrutiny.
If there is a gentleman-activist in our midst, without caring for name and fame, it is none other than Sri. M.P.Agnihotri. He may not like anybody complimenting him for his note-worthy services rendered to our pensioner-community under the banner of AIRIEF. Hope he will forgive and excuse me when I write that he is not only an experienced trade unionist, but also possesses deep legal knowledge. Many may not know that he is the architect in preparing our basic draft-affidavit, which went a long way in preparing the final draft by our Sr.Counsel.
Thanks to our President, Sri. S.S.Saxena for having conducted Executive and Legal committee meetings, at the needed hours, to ascertain the views of the bases and take suitable working decisions on all counts. He never failed to give credence to the suggestions emanated from his fellow-office bearers in any matter concerning the over-all improvement of our colleagues. The timely support extended by Messieurs. T.R. Madhava Rao, Pramod Bhatnagar, G.Krishnaswamy, D.D.Gupta, Ranjan Dey Sarkar, R.K.Sahni, Lakkapragada Sivaramakrishna Rao and a few other activists will ever remain green in our memory.
We are fully satisfied with the line of actions taken by our leaders in the present legal issues -- be it in the matter of collection of vital documents, or needed explanations wherever necessary or in the matter of fixing-up an able and eminent Sr.Counsel, etc. We never attempted to beg, borrow or steal any thing from any body else  We never dream of disturbing anybody's venture. We stood firm on our own ideals and principles.
LET US ALWAYS CONTINUE TO BE " OURSELVES "
