DHC ORDER dated 27.04.2017 allowing relief in DR RATES

DHC ORDER dated 27.04.2017 allowing relief in DR RATES PER SLAB to pre 8/1997 retirees wef the date of first WP [ WP NO.6676/1998 Jaipur High Court] ie 18.12.1998 as under:-

1. Between 1.1.1986 & 317.1992/31.3.1993 drawing basic pension above ₹ 2130

DR @ 0.29%instead @ 0.17%

2. Between 1.8.1992/1.4.1993 & 31.7.1997 drawing basic pension above ₹ 3850.

DR @ 0.23% instead @ 0.17% upto ₹4100 & @ 0.09% above ₹ 4100.

A). The simple formula to calculate the difference in DR per slab and Arrears of DR from 18.12.1998 to 30.4.2017.

B). The total number of DR Slabs from 18.12.1998 to 30.4.2017 :-

1. In respect of Group I are 163887[ 164069-182]

The DR slabs for the month of December 1998 are 331. Hence DR slabs from 1.12.1998 to 17.12.1998 =17/31*331=182

The total number of DR slabs from 1.12.1998 to 30.4.2017are 164069.

2. In respect of Group II are 133686[133792-106]

The DR slabs for the month of December, 1998 are 194.Hence DR slabs from 1.12.1998 to 17.12.1998=17/31*194=106.

The total number of slabs from 1.12.1998 to 30.4.2017 are 133792.

C). GROUP I.

Difference of DR/slab=[(Basic Pension-2130)x0012]=say X

(I) Monthly increase in pension on 1.2.2017=X*1429

(II). Arrears=X*163887.

D) Group II.

(a). where basic pension is more than 3850 and upto 4100.

(I). Difference of DR/slab=[(BasicPension-3850)*0.0006]=say Y.

(II) Monthly increase in Gross pension on 1.2.2017=Y*1292.

(III). Arrears=Y*133686.

(b). Where basic Pension is above ₹ 4100.

(I). Difference of DR per slab=[(250*0.0006)+(BasicPension-4100)*0.0014)]=say Z

(II). Monthly increase in Gross  Pension as on 1.2.2017=Z*1292

(III). Arrears=Z*133686

Those pensioner friends who are eligible for difference of DR, can calculate the monthly increase and arrears of difference of DR in their case as per the  above stated steps very easily and quickly without any help.
