i)Few days before only, I released VARIOUS PROGRESSIVE MEASURES being
adopted by SZO, some of their own & many on our RIEA CHENNAI/AIRIEF
intervention
Here is a solid case where FULL EMPATHY is shown to late Sri KRengasamys son Sri Kannan Bargavan
Not
only as his son admits that within 4 days processing was over, Family
Pension determined, 1st cheque credited to earmarked Bank AC
SO, I SAID such noble ,ameliorative measures MUST BE REPLICATED ALL OVER INDIA, NOT SZ alone.
ii)In fact, many will remember I sent immediately on the list of ED/ZM came, a WELCOME EMAIL to Sri ANIL KUMAR,,RMOS & I circulated & inserted in our Website too.
Our
friends will have to go thro the Promotion/Transfer List, note down the
NEW INCUMBENTS with whom they have face to face meetings &
resolution of pensioners issues & grievances
We have to work hard,harder.
iii)Hearty Congratulations to SZO PC, AO PC Sri Dinesh Kumar Kudos to him & his Team

2)Dear Shri Bargavan,
I thank you for your mail, which was delivered to my spam and i saw it just now as I was going to delete the mails in my spam folder.
I note carefully what you wrote.
I am extremely sorry to note that your father-in -law a retired pensioner of LIC died on 27.01.2017. I send my condolences.
Perhaps you know a Court case for Dearness anomaly for pre -8/97 retirees and updation of pension on each wage revision was being fought in the Supreme Court of India and later in High Court of Delhi.
The Supreme Court of India vide their order dated 31.03.2017 had ordered payment of 40% Interim Relief to all the pre-8/1997 retirees. Accordingly, your father-in-law might had been paid the said amount by LIC in May, 2016.
The DHC vide its order dated 27.04.2017 had rejected the demand of updation of pension with each wage revision and partly allowed the writ of Dearness Relief to those pensioners who retired between 01.01.1986 & 31.03.1993 drawing Basic pension of more than Rs 2130 and to those pensioners who retired between 01.04.1993 & 31.07.1997 with basic pension of above Rs 3850 and ordered the LIC to pay the same from the date of the first writ filed within one year from the date of receipt of the copy of the Judgment. However the Court had ordered that the payment of 40% IR made would not be refunded or returned to the Corporation.
The payment as per DHC order upto the date of death of the pensioner would be made as per DHC order by LIC to the nominee.
with regards,
rksahni

Dear Sir, Greetings!
Sir, I am regular visitor to blog, though I am not LIC employee. My father-in-law worked in LIC and
my mother -in-law is family pensioner and she is staying with me and taking care of here. She is 73
years old. I need some clarifications, if possible please guide me i will be grateful to you.
MY FATHER IN LAW MR. RENGASWAMY. RETD AS A.A.O.(IAD) PENSION FILE NO. 700080028
CHENNAI ZONE.
HE RETIRED ON 31-03-1997 ON SUPER ANNUATION at the age of 58 years and was
drawing pension.
He died on 27/01/2017 and we claimed family pension. We are happy to inform you
that within 4 days pension was sanctioned and 1st pension was credited on 01/03/2017
family pension sanctioned Rs.1311
Dearness allowance rs.5928.34
total pension rs.7239.34
and she was admitted to medical insurance scheme also for minimum of Rs. 6 lacs and
monthly deduction is also done.
No arrears etc were paid. I think my father in law got some arrears last year.
as per your blog you mentioned increase in pension from 01/02/2017 and arrears from
the date of retirement.
Whether she is eligible for any arrears etc. If so whether we have to claim?
to blog is an eye opener for people like me. continue your services
regards
bargavan
