From The Core of My Heart

Sh. Sreenivasa Murty had come to Delhi from Hyderabad in first week of April,2014 to attend Supreme Court Proceedings. He called me and Sh S N Chhabra on phone from Delhi  expressing his desire to meet both of us at our place. We said you are Welcome Sir. Next day,he traveled from New Delhi to Chandigarh by morning Shatabadi and we were at Chandigarh Railway Station at about 11 am to receive Sh Murty. That was my first meeting with him.
Our friendship with Sh Murty multiplied during this short span of say three years and three months. He might have traveled to Chandigarh during this tenure on more than ten different occasions and  each time it was my privilege to receive  and see off him mostly at Chandigarh air port. I remained with him  in his hotel here and he always traveled in my car to different places say Chandigarh High Court or Advocate Residence or Meetings Venues. This close interaction   plus almost every alternate day long tele callings plus regular exchange of mails created A Permanent  Emotional Bonding between me and Sh. Murty. And this emotional attachment is not permitting me to accept which was never expected.
While God snatched Sh. Murty  from us yesterday afternoon  leaving most important mission of seeking Justice for All LIC Pensioners in between , it is still not clear to us Who can replace him for the said unfinished agenda.
I have yet to see any Leader of his stature  in rest  of my  life who was fighting all alone under very tough and adverse circumstances like  all other Co Fighters  in legal battle not being with  him  . Hyderabad Association not being an All India Organization was short of funds but he sold his personal property and invested his personal funds in this legal battle. This is some thing which is rare of rarest.
I am personally feeling a kind of vacuum, darkness and loneliness since yesterday after hearing this shocking news. My Prayers to Almighty God to bless eternal peace to departed noble soul.
Regards,
B.R. Mehta
