The Pensioners' World after Late M Sreenivasa Murty

DEAR ALL,
With great  sorrow, shock and pain regret to  report that Mr M Sreenivasa Murty, my very dear friend and President of the Hyderabad Association of Retired Class I Officers  passé away on 8th inst(Saturday) at Yashoda Hospital ,Somajiguda,Hyderabad where he was admitted  the previous day with some discomfort experienced by him. Although  it appeared as if he was recovering on 8th morning, there was a setback after  1.00 P M and suffered a heart attack and breathed his last.
Although  his  death was immediately published in the pensioners’ blogs, I could not  communicate the  news  by email for the information  of all  pensioners  as I was also  busy with  some personal matters. I visited his house yesterday in the evening and paid my respects to the departed soul and expressed condolences to the bereaved family members. Cremation will take place today starting around 10.30 A M.
I need not dwell on how much of dedicated service late Murty has rendered for the LIC pensioners always walking the extra mile and how much the tens of thousands of LIC Pensioners have love and respect for him. In his death, a big void has been created which is very difficult to fill.
Now ,in the absence of  our beloved late  M Sreenivasa Murty,an onerous responsibility has been placed  on the shoulders of our Association to carry on the  challenging task of legal fight  which he has so assiduously  and tenaciously  brought to this level, ahead. While he could get the Review Petition filed in DHC, destiny could not enable him to complete the task of getting the SLP filed in the Supreme Court which he  very much wanted to do before 9th inst which was not to be. Now in the changed situation some delay is inevitable  on account of certain legal formalities like affidavit to be signed by another person etc.
Unfortunately I will have to be away at USA for about 5 months leaving from Hyderabad tomorrow i.e 11th inst as planned much earlier and it is not possible to reschedule my travel. I have discussed  with M/s E J P Prasad ,Secretary & Y V Subba Rao ,Treasurer to get in touch with our counsel at Delhi for arranging the urgent filing of SLP in SC.Although I will be in US,I shall be in telephonic contact with them & also on email contact.
But the major challenge at the moment for the Association is mobilization of funds for the legal fight ahead if we have to fulfill the mission undertaken with the initiative of lateM Sreenivasa Murty. As long as he was handling the matter in spite of paucity of funds, he advanced the money required from his own resources and our Association owes a good amount of money  to him besides owing to a number of  other well meaning pensioners who were kind enough  to advance loans to the Association.
In this situation, I appeal to all pensioner friends, to urgently and liberally contribute to our Legal Fund, so that our case will not suffer for want of funds for the legal fight. I am sorry that I am causing some potential financial burden on the pensioner fraternity in this crisis situation by making this appeal
Mr E J P Prasad,Secretary will be available on mobile no  09866101562 & Mr Y V Subba Rao, Treasurer  on 09491124614
