BR Mehta's posting in the above issue has to be taken up by the
pensioners' organisations very seriously.The issue of early payment of
September'17 pension was first taken up by LIC Retired Class-I Officers'
Association in Kolkata on 4th September'17 drawing attention of ZM/EZO
that Durga Puja festival is the tallest festival in Eastern India and a
major festival in rest of the country. Moreover the offices and Banks
are to remain closed from 27/09 in West-Bengal and Tripura while in
other states of Eastern India from 28/09. The offices will reopen, after
the festival on 3rd October'17 (may be the date of Half yearly
closing). He was requested to intervene for September'17 pension payment
before the start of the festival.
The issue was followed up by meeting ZM/EZ and RM (OS)/EZ on 20th September'17. The matter was sincerely taken up by the Federation of Retired LIC Class-I Officers' Associations with Central office.
But, the issue remained
undecided and the officials in CO remained static despite precedence of
early payment of pension before the festival in 2011 and 2014.The issue was followed up by meeting ZM/EZ and RM (OS)/EZ on 20th September'17. The matter was sincerely taken up by the Federation of Retired LIC Class-I Officers' Associations with Central office.
