Dear Sir,
Re: Mediclaim Scheme- request to allow one more option to join the scheme
We thank you for the CO circular Ref No.CO/PER/ER-A/164/2017 dtd 23-09-2017 giving some improvements in the scheme. Sorry to note that our demand to increase the compulsory family floater SA in tune with increase in premium rates and hospitalization cost is not addressed. We implore upon you to take necessary steps to at least double these limits.
But one more grievance regarding the scheme is still unresolved- another option to join the scheme to those who are not under the mediclaim cover as on date for various reasons. Through the continuous follow-up by the NOIP, LIC could be able to clinch the said issue with New India Assurance and one more option to join was given some 4-5 years back. Unfortunately still miniscule number of retirees/ pensioners is left out of the mediclaim protection as on date. Last time too New India was reluctant to allow one more chance for the left-over few. LIC being the esteemed group policy holder with the New India Insurance, we request you to prevail upon them to allow one more option to join the scheme.
This has been the long pending grievance and we request you take up the matter with New India Insurance and allow one more chance to join the scheme by those who are outside the cover.

Thanking you in anticipation of your positive response,

                                                                                                                                Yours faithfully,

                                                                                                                            (General Secretary)
