LIC pays dividend of ₹ 2207 Crores to Central Government

I refer to your news report in your edition of 29th September 2017 stating that LIC has paid Rs 2207 cr which is 15.8% more compared to the previous year.The dividend paid was Rs 2497 cr in the year 2015-16 which is reflected in LIC's Annual Report.There is no indication in the Annual Report that a bonus of Rs 500 cr was paid to the Government.Actually,thedividend paid for FY17 to the Government was less by about 11.6% compared to the previous year.
