Tax rates on restaurants has been reduced as under.

Big relief to who loves outside foods , good news comes from GST council 23 meeting concluded at Guwahati. 

Tax rates on restaurants has been reduced as under.

1 Tax on Non AC restaurants reduced from 12 % to 5%

2. Tax on AC restaurants re. duced from 18 % to 5%

3. The 5 % rates is without ITC.4. The above rate is applicable

4. The above rate is applicable without any upper turnover Limit.

5. Restaurants in Hotel will also be covered under 5 % rates

6. However restaurants in Hotel where room rents is up to Rs 7500 and above the GST will be applicable @ 18 % with ITC benefits.

7. GST on outdoor catering will be applicable @ 18 % with ITC benefits.

8. The above rates will be applicable from 15.11.2017
