7th Anniversary Function of Panchkula Association

Dear Friends ,

It is a matter of great pleasure that LIC Class One Retired Officers Association Panchkula celeberated its 7th Anniversary today ie10th December 2017 at hotel Shiraj One Sector 10 Panchkula. This event was attended by 31  Members of Panchkula Association  out of fifty  besides five  special  guests of honour Sh S  K Srivastava  Sr DM DO Chandigarh was kind enough to be our Chief Guest in today's Function
The other  four Special Guests who graced our today,s  Meeting are Sh K S Johar MM DO Chandigarh along with  Sh R K Sharma and Sh I K Thakral being President and Secretary respectively of LIC Class One Retired Officers Association Chandigarh besides Sh T C Chopra being Ex Secretary of Chandigarh Association .
The whole function was brief and best
The Meeting started with a warm welcome to our Chief Guest and all other special guests and  participants  by B R Mehta Senior Vice President . Sh Mehta sought help from Sr DM Chandigarh  in redressal  of anomoly in existing group mediclaim policy which denies benefit of full room rent to LIC Pensioners  during hospitalisation residing in tri city area   due to denyl of A Class City Status to Tri City  combined area of Mohali , Chandigarh and Panchkula.
Next one minute silent prayers    were held in sweet  memory of Panchkula Association Architect Late Sh M L Gandhi  and our great  legal guide late Sh Sreenivasa Murty  who left us on July 8 , 2017 along with two of our Members  including  Sh  J R Arora and Sh  K L  Khanduja leaving us quite recently.
Our Secrtary Sh  S N Chhabra presented a brief report of activities of our Association  including  current status of our legal case Sh C M Bhargava our Patron delivered his key note address emphasising upon desired Unity amongst various players in legal battle  field . Sh Bhargava highlighted miserable condition of very senior retired  LIC executives getting a meagure pension today. He also stressed need to increase our tolerance level and follow principle of forgiveness to lead a happy and tension free retired life
Sh R K Sharma President Chandigarh Association  also shared  sweet memories  of his very close association with  late Sh M L Gandhi and praised Sh Srivastava Sr DM Chandigarh for his helpful attitude and total support  for retired LIC Officers
Next Sh S K Srivastava Sr DM Chandigarh was kind enough to honour our below mentioned nine Members  out of  twelve eligible 
being  eighty plus in age   as on today

Three Members in this honouring list category  could not join us  today are Sh J K Passi , Sh  K L Sharma from  Derabassi  and Sh R  P Goyal will be honored by us at their residences shortly. 
Sh J R Garg was kind enough to donate an amount of Rs five thousand to our Association  today being auspicious occasion of his wedding anniversary  also.
Sh  S K Srivastava our chief guest appreciated contribution  of all ex officers during their active service  as a result of which LIC  continues to be  unbeatable market leader despite so many private players in the field
He highlighted wonderful new business performance of Chandigarh Division achieving its budget on single premium on 30th November last  with 4th rank at Northern Zonal level and 10th rank at All India Level
He was very particular to say that issues of LIC  pensioners must be resolved on top priority
The Meeting concluded with a vote of Thanks from Sh N K Garg our  Organising Secretary who thanked our Chief Guest Sh S K Srivastava  and four other special guests as well as our all 31  Members of our Association attending today' s Meeting
