Chennai : The Madras high court has introduced an e-court fee system, through which advocates and litigants can pay court fee through online facility.
The facility, which is set to open from April 20, is an advocate /
litigant-centric initiative of the Tamil Nadu government through their central record keeping agency - Stock Holding Corporation of IndiaLtd.
As per the notification issued by the high court registry, the
service will be initially provided for the principal bench and Madurai
bench of the high court.
" E- Court fee system is a computer-based application which provides easier and secured way of paying judicial stamp duty to the
government. It helps to tackle counterfeiting. The user-manual for
generating e-court fee is made available in the high court's official
website. Payments can be made through the website
www.shcilestamp.com," the notification said.
