DEAR ALL,
MAKAR SANKRANTI & PONGAL GREETINGS
R.B.KISHORE,PATRON,AIRIEF
2019 has dawned. Election fever all over.Vitriolic speeches, maximum legislation gone thro to curry votes, pensioners issues as usual a backburner, parity in pension amongst enterprises, organisations, & Govt, Service & Financial institutions ,the real BACKBONE for the Country & Govt still elusive though all know,we never go to Govt for help or succour, rather it is always reverse, even handing over sinking institutions to be rejuvenated, a facesaving device for Govt but an affront on financial health of a Sterling & Superlative Institution of unparalled record of sorts, pouring Peoples Money for Peoples Welfare in an egalitarian society ,
we pray & hope that Wisdom dawns on Govt to grant the benefits which pensioners have been justifiably demanding in a marathon 20 year legal battle,Govt flouting all canons of National Litigation Policy designed by them, sanity & sanctity of Govt missing as far as Elders & aged Pensioners are concerned, only this NEW YEAR 2019 must bring relief, thanx to SC Bench & FAITH & Prayers to teh Almighty to shower prosperity on poor pensioners, age 60,65, 70 , 75, 80 & beyond, cruel Hand of Fate be removed & obliterated by EQUITY, EQUALITY, REMOVE DISCRIMINATION, ELIMINATE ANAMOLIES,ABOLISH PRE & POST Groups treating Pensioners as ONE CLASS ONLY,basic postulates should never undergo change to suit the whims & fancies of Govt ,structure & wage/pension range must conform to decent parity relationship without undue fluctuat ions,
February will tell us the SC Bench Hon Judges ,as Hon Lokur has retired in Dec 2018,3rd week Feb 2019, most probably final hearing will start as majority of submissions are over, Pensioners are waiting with bated breath the outcome.SC must stand firm to hear the final arguments regularly to complete all final arguments & deliver the Judgement.
Greetings & warm regards,
R.B.KISHORE

Its time to bid adieu to winters; welcome the wonderful Spring and crop harvesting. With different names – Makar Sankranti (Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Uttarayan in Gujarat, Sukarat in Madhya Pradesh and Bihu in the North-East…) is celebrated all over India.
Makar Sankranti is a harvest festival, marking the end of a bitterly cold winter and it ushers in spring. It is probably the only Indian festival to fall on the same date every year (between 13th- 15th January). It also has an astrological significance since it is around this time that the earth begins its gradual journey of moving towards the Sun. It is considered an extremely auspicious period (Uttarayan) by the Hindus and is perhaps the only Hindu solar festival. Sweets made of til (sesame seeds) are traditionally eaten and distributed at Makar Sankranti.
While Andhra knows it as Makar Sankrantanam, Nepal calls it Maghe Sankranti and Kashmiris celebrate it as Shishur Saenkraat.
The best part about any Indian festival is sharing wishes with family and friends. Take your pick from this season’s greetings…
Makar Sankranti wishes
Milao gur mein til
Udao patang, kaato dor
Khush kar do har dil
Makar Sankranti ka mach gaya shor!
Makar Sankranti ki Badhai!
Makar Sankranti ka paigham
Mithai se mithi boli, mithi zubaan
Surya devta ko karo pranaam
Udao patang bharo oonchee udaan
Makar Sankranti ki Shubhkamnayein!
Pongal is that time of the year, when the South goes into celebratory mode for three days. This harvest festival marks the beginning of the auspicious Tamil month of Thai. Pongal is named after the special rice dish cooked on this day: rice cooked in milk, sweetened with jaggery, in earthen pots on a wood fire. On the first day pots are allowed to brim over and “Pongal-o-pongal” is chanted loudly by one and all. This symbolize prosperity in the coming year. Pongal also means shopping for new clothes and bedecking the home with earthen pots, rangoli and mango leaves. The pots are often painted in auspicious colours and placed in the shade of freshly cut sugarcane stems.
The second day of Pongal is the time to decorate and venerate cattle, since they form the pillars of the agrarian fabric.
The third day of Pongal is dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, invoking his blessings and benevolence for the coming year and a bountiful harvest.
May Your joys abound and overflow
May your home be filled with plenty
Let the sweetness in your life grow
This Pongal we wish you prosperity!
Happy Pongal!
Chakkar pongal, rava pongal, payasam…
Sugarcane, jaggery, milk and rice…
Cows and oxen, colourful kolam…
May Pongal bring you all that’s nice…
With Warm Wishes for a very Happy & Prosperous Pongal!
May this Pongal bring joy and happiness…
And your home be always filled with plenty…
Every year, let this festival bring you more not less…
May you and your family be blessed with prosperity…
Happy Pongal!
