All out efforts to wrest initiative & final Solution to ensure credit of pension on 1st Every Month,irrespective of Holidays, Sunday, or Nonworking Saturdays
1)We made tremendous efforts with LIC Management to achieve this desired goal for the benefit of all pensioners spread throughout the length & breadth of our country.Though the promise was given that after RBI Notification dt 6/12/2019, things will shape up properly & pensioners can enjoy the fruits of pension without any worry on 1st regularly.This proved to be an illusion & all were disappointed at varying degrees of success of credit on 1st, confined to few Divisions of few Zones only.
2)Pensioner Federations singly & jointly put up this demand with vehemence too but so far not crystallised this achievement.
I had spoken to MD Sri Mukesh Kumar Guptaji pointing out the frustration writ large & stressing dire need of achieving pension credit on 1st in all normal circumstances without fail but this month March ,unprecedented ,never-before -witnessed Shutdown as absolute precautions to ward off deadly Corona virus & to add to the hardships & uncertainty & psychological damage being caused ,coupled with 1st April declared as Bank Closing of Accounts, more uncertainty & a greater possibility of delayed credit & households yearning to buy some stocks atleast till 14 April,Pensioners must get earlier credit of pension in March 2020 itself, as Employees got even on 21 March 2020,a happy & worryless situation .
3)It is wrong to presume that any sidestepping is involved.Federations are born & exist to protect & promote pensioners welfare in all directions.Whether primary or secondary, multi-dimensional approach ,depending on the happening of events & the grave injustice of delayed credit to pensioners must be remedied once for all.We cannot allow this to languish for ever as a worthy AIRIEF.
Monetary benefits are important & even a lifeline but who expected this sudden turn of events of this wretched Corona Virus causing havoc, death &destruction & taming human nature & testing endurance ,patience & perseverance to the utmost.Many may become victims of psychosis,when we see in & out the reality of situation. If only we wait & keep mum on this, can one assure we get PU & FULL DR soon.22 long years, we have seen with our own eyes the tale of tears, woe ,shock & death.So history teaches us proceed to take steps as we go along, friends.
4)I felt as no forward movement is there, glanced & digested RBI WEBSITE & learnt so many things, even the existence of Dept of Payments & Settlements ,further the BOARD for Regulation & Supervision of Payments & Settlement Systems .Initially I felt this impetus I shall watch confining attention to RBI Chennai & later, depending on developments ,furthermore energetic steps . Say Not the Struggle Not Availeth .

I did this a fortnight before as a testing ground for future strategies
Even the 2 LIC Board Resolutions of July 2019 & Oct 2019 referred to Govt is yet to be okayed by the mighty MOF/GOI !!
5)Re this month of extreme uncertainty,no wrong is done if pension, as a special case,in view of extenuating circumstances, is credited in March itself. As Sri RKSahni rightly says ,this can be done as advance against pension in March & reverse the entry by debiting pension account on April 1st,so that there is no 13 months pension, in FY 2019-20 & in accordance with statutory provision .

1)We Pensioners were happy to read RBI Notification dt 6 Dec 2019 that wef 16 Dec ALL payments routed thro Banks,PSBanks will be processed 24/7 from midnight 16 Dec & banks are instructed to operate thro NEFT to enable Payments to recipients ,from SMS to Ac holder
Tho 1 Jan,1 Feb were holidays, good number of LIC Divns thro their Banks were able to release Pension credit & on 1st itself SMS was recd by Pensioners.1 March was a Failure & Banks could not credit Pension to poor pensioners & so grievance & anger.
2)Please inform the correct position as varying results adversely affects Elders & Sr Citizens & many depend on pension for livelihood,stay in remote areas & depend on credit of pension only for livelihood
As an exemplary corporate, LIC mission is also to help Elders & Pensioners to ensure credit on 1st EVERY MONTH.
3)Please, therefore, help us & instruct ALL BANKERS with whom LIC has fine dealings to PROCESS & CREDIT PENSION also on 1st EVERY MONTH, IRRESPECTIVE of any Holiday, Sunday or Nonworking Saturdays.We can assure you that LIC OS/Pension Cell Dept functions with values of Empathy to pensioners & Pension Module data of all pensioners of that CO or ZO or Divisional Office,properly keyed in standard format with No Error,the last working day, to enable BANKERS to process,as they normally do & after Dec 16,2019.even credit of pension speedily thro NEFT 24/7 irrespective of any Holiday,Sunday or Saturday non-working day please. Digital electronic speed & efficiency ,must be translated into reality
