SC case

Should we also seek the opinion of our counsel?
What Mr Shukla writes also seems to make some sense. The general mood in the country is one focused on the welfare of the largest number of the citizens in the country, and interests of a small section  of group like LIC Pensioners will neither receive priority nor the attention that it deserves in comparison with the economic compulsions before the government of having to tide over the Coronavirus crisis and the collateral economic damage that accompanies it.
So it will be more pragmatic not to push for hearing and at least wait for sometime for the settlement with the Bank employees to be concluded. Of course,if the hearing is coming up early ,well  and good ,and let us be in a state of readiness to argue our case with all our strong grounds.
Kind regards.

However, I feel that we should not make any hurry for an early hearing in the case. Rather we should patiently and calmly wait for the things to settle. We all know and time has proved it again and again that during such pandemic courts go with the will and wishes of the government keeping all pleas and constitution provisions aside. Though it has not been declared, they all, who are concerned know that democracy in the country has already been curbed and all so-called sovereign institutions including judiciary are under pressure. Country and countrymen are passing through a crucial juncture and even if our case come-up for hearing, judges are so tight with the government gestures and shadow nationalism that they may not even give an ear to our pleadings. We shall observe the patient. There is no alternative to it. A K Shukla
