Today evening my initial attempt to talk to EDEOS CO could not succeed. Because of Corona restrictions , really a hard time for all & indeed for LIC as very few attend office as per clear orders & instructions
I tried lower authorities , some ringing but not taking . Luckily ,so nice of EDEOS himself ringing me for the earlier missed call
I enquired about the universal & genuine demand for not insisting on Existence Certificate this year due to unusual extraordinary circumstances in existence ,aired from every quarter
I also pointed out to Govts waiving EC for Pensioners for same valid reasons.
ED informed they are weighing many alternatives . I emphasized that when Pensioners thought Online extraction of EC thro the portal for Jeevan Pramaan with the aid of keying Pensioners Aadhaar Card could not succeed as this indeed would have facilitated Elders & Sr Citizens, Pensioners to extract EC to fulfill the purpose of Proof , from the comfort of Pensioners living room, other methods should not involve going out ,as Health restrictions & virus spread a deterrent & further last year & earlier We in Chennai found those Agencies demand a fee of Rs 100/150 & so defeats the purpose
ED was quick to understand & said CO has explored various possibilities . He assured that will be from the comfort of his house & this objective is being kept in mind.
He confirmed CO Circular will be released in a few days time,less than a week
I profusely thanked him for the Empathy he has displayed & requested him to demonstrate this in fields where Pensioners welfare is involved , for which Pensioners Fraternity shall ever be grateful to him
