We advise that I, along with Sri P.  Bhaskara Rao DGS for Twin Cities & Telangana, had a meeting this morning 12th December  with Sri Bandlish, GS, SBI Staff Federation.  Sri Bandlish is on a visit to the Twin Cities to attend a conference of the  SBISUHC. Our meeting with him was cordial. 

We congratulated Sri Bandlish on the successful conclusion of the 11th BPS and getting a fair settlement of the issues that they have fought for.

Incidentally, we enquired of him the status of the Pensioners' issues arising out of the settlement, especially Family Pension and Updation of Pension. He informed us that the Family Pension, the proposal for which is with the DFS, will be settled once the Joint Note is cleared by the DFS. It may take about a month for this.

As for the updation of Pension, he told us that work on the subject which has started in earnest is going on and that the updation is expected to happen before the end of the financial year since the Government of India is keen on settling our pension issues. Sri Bandlish is positive about favourable developments in the matter.
