It is an excellent presentation for the LIC pensioners community. 

There was a  dire need of such a book.

The retirees were not able to know the latest amended pension rules. They have to approach the LIC OS Department for the same. 

You have taken a lot of pains to update the pension rules duly incorporating all  the upto date amendments notified by the GOI from time to time. 

It is time for every pensioner to know how to himself calculate the average basic pay, basic pension, communication and also the basic family pension as well as the DR (dearness relief) payable as per his date of retirement. 

You have also included the LIC Group Family Floater Mediclaim Policy terms and conditions for which the retirees no longer run to the office for any clarification. 

I heartily congratulate you and Shri Joshi for this publication. 

The addition of  scales of pay from the inception of the LIC is commendable.
