Meeting with Shri Om Birla, Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha

Today, AIRIEF's delegation from Jaipur and Kota met Shri Om Birla, Hon'ble Speaker, Lok Sabha. Shri Birla is the Member of Parliament for the Kota-Bundi constituency in Rajasthan. Our delegation consisting of Sarv Shri M K Yadav, Gen Sec, D.N Sharma Org Secy, Sanjay Kushwah, Joint Secy all from RIEA, Jaipur and S/Shri Nirmal Dixit, Harish Koli and Purender Sharma all from Kota, got an appointment to meet Hon'ble Birla Sahab today i.e. 29th Dec 2021. Accordingly, our delegates from Jaipur reached Kota and joined the delegates from Kota and had a meeting at around 12:30 AN. Our delegation informed about the long pending main grievances of the LIC Pensioners and requested for his kind intervention for an early resolution of the same as the matter pertains to the senior and super senior citizens. Shri Birla stated that LIC Pensioners grievances should be resolved by the Chairman of LIC. Then, our delegates informed that decision in this regard is to be taken by the Central Government. They also informed about the Board Resolution dated 24/11/2001 passed by LIC for pension updation and resolving the DR disparity issues, which is kept in abeyance by the Central Government. Our letter dated 29/12/2021 addressed to Shri Birla along with the copy of representation submitted to the Finance Minister were also handed over to him. Shri Birla marked the letter to the Personal Secretary and directed him to take up the matter with Finance Ministry for early resolution of the grievances. He also advised the delegates to be in contact with the Personal Secretary to know the developments.
