Dear All, 1) i) When AIRIEF was formed on 5/12/1996 at Hyderabad, 25 years have rolled by,Silver Jubilee Year is on.Aims & Aspirations plenty,Network is important & critical,Selfless Service ,the MOTTO,be imbued with Devotion & Dedication,Care & Concern,no murmuring,but Speed up  the tempo,convert Sympathy crocodile tears to EMPATHY,these conquer the world of Pensioners,builds Trust & Confidence,Reciprocity develops.

   

               ii)So too,when RIEA CHENNAI was born on 8/8/1998,amongst other Vision & Mission,Goals & Objectives,we said,emphasised with gusto,our AIM is "SERVICE TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT IN SERVICE NOW " .We are marching& galloping from Nowhere to Everywhere,from a mere 24 to 400 Members now,with many ups & Downs,Trials & Tribulations,Sustained Campaign from October 2018 onwards,& as envisaged crossed the Coveted 100Enrolments in One year,240 to340 & to 400 ,joining the Navratna Club  of Top 9, 700  to 400 downwards in ranking.

               iii)Though I have entertained the noble idea of helping others in distress, to de-stress them & their families,experiencing some problem or the other,a difficult terrain ,no time to beam or circulate such hard interventions,sometimes stretching to other Zones or Divisions,I lost no time in talking to sucvh SDMs or RMOS,sometimes,even ZMs & rare cases EDPersonnel too.Ofcourse ,TPA Vidal Health Services Officer has become a close associate,recognises my voice,I rejoice,tell my woes,help speed up claim settlement,dont overdeduct etc reducing intended amount to reach ElderPensioner,Family Pensioners etc

    Our new Team or successors too must be imbued with this fervour,breathe vitality & must consider THEIR concerns as OUR Concern & resolve the grievance or issue.  Sure they will.

Yes I received all the documents from the bank with the help of my cousin in Chennai and also sent the same to the OS department and  they have done the needful.
This happened by end of July and the pension also got credited.
Sorry for not informing earlier Appa was  not well had to be in hospital for a couple of days coz of which I missed to inform you.
Really sorry uncle.

Rushing to help RKasturirangan/SY/SDM couple both afflicted with Covid19

i)Shocking to hear the sad news of the death of Sri RKasthurirangan , a Veteran & Activist of RIEA Chennai & earlier EC Member of AIRIEF
 As comedy of errors should not happen more so in Obituaries & many Kasthurirangans are there, why even with same initials I considered it my duty to talk to his family
 Daughter took the phone , she said he died today morning at 545am,
I narrated our close acquaintance & the everlasting contribution RK made for the welfare & progress of all Pensioners I reminded her of our yet another forte of few valuable years with Dr BesantRaj International for training private insurance company field force So close morning & evening Sessions & there too RK enabled our wonderful group of Trainers & Teachers to release many Compendiums

  ii)In fact seeds sown then in very early years of 1998 all must understand & appreciate the richness of participation & teamspirit displayed
 Like Shantiniketan greenwood trees & pleasant salubrious surroundings in then Development Officers Office & openarea meetings & discusions reverberate in our minds now when we ruminate the death of selfless, calm, quiet , intelligent, incisive intellect RK possessed .His services at Vellore DO & in SZO carved a niche for himself for his dedication

  iii)Why a step further RIEA Chennai conducted All India EC Meeting in 2002 & theretoo RK imprints were noticeable when Giants like late Sri HCMehta , crusader like CSMurty & late Mr Rao of Hyderabad & renowned personalities were on dais & enhanced reputation of AIRIEF

   So too bapre, how many sessions Myself, RK,late CSMurty,TRMadhava Rao, Trivandrum late Sri Sankaran & Rajkot friends BPBuch ,late LSRamanathan all prepared Loss of Pension Chart for All Cadres for AllGroups It was a thrilling experience that germinated later as Pension Anamoly Chart friends .

     Really tearful when dear colleagues with whom we brushed shoulders disappear without seeing the light, the glimmer now fairly visible but Time takes us away due to Govts other preoccupations

iv)Sad when RKs daughter said he died of Covid 19. When I pleaded that precautionary steps would have been taken, she said yes but one other in family had symptoms & a neglect caused this calamity
When I enquired about Mrs RK, daughter said she is in bad position Lesson for all of us to be Doubly careful 2 sons & 2 daughters
She said they knew me thro RKs utterances & intimate association. Few years before fall made him stay indoors only  Old age alerts & stumbling blocks you see

   We miss him but the BeaconLight will enable us to come out of the tunnel & bring sunshine & cheers to All Pensioners
 I conveyed my & our Assn & Fedn heartfelt condolences I prayed for his soul to Rest In Peace
 May God bestow strength & fortitude to the family to bear this irreparable loss

v)Today evening I spoke to TPA Sri SivaGanesh that still no news re settlement of Mediclaim
I asked for the amount also
 He told me that by Monday/Tuesday he will inform & he will inform us
   I reiterated he shd ensure that cuts etc shd not mar settlement as it is a tragic case of both Mr& Mrs RKasthurirangan died & so amount settled is of great relevance
   Let us pray for the best . RK Home Rs2.5.lacs,Mrs RK Hospital treatment Rs 4.5lacs
We did on 2nd March 90 minute Sri Sangatta Hara Chathurthi Homam to dispel bad omens of Covid still haunting & many States showing sharp hike
