REVISION PENSION & FAMILY PENSION ON RBI LINES HAS BEEN APPROVED BY GOVT OF INDIA FOR NABARD - HEARTY CONGRATULATION TO ALL THE PENSIONERS OF NABARD

AINREWA is extremely happy to inform that Honourable Finance Minister has approved

Revision of Basic Pension/Family Pension for Pre-01.11.2017 ex-RBI Retirees of NABARD

covered under the provision of Section 50(11) of NABARD Act,1981 in line with the pension

revision approved for RBI Pensioners. The approval includes:

1. Revision of Pension

2. Revision of Family Pension

3. The effective date for Pension Revision for Pre-01.11.2012 Pensioners will be 01 March2019

4. The effective date for Pension Revision for Pensioners who retired between 01.11.2012 and 31 .10.2017 will be 12 June 2023

5. Quantum and Terms & Conditions will be same as approved for RBI Pensioners Friends, Twenty years of struggle, years of strenuous efforts amidst unwavering trust of members in strength and capabilities of AINREWA has finally brought us justice.

We are grateful to Honourable Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State  Dr. Bhagawat Kishanrao Karad, Secretary DFS Sri Vivek Joshi, Additional Secretary Dr. M P Tangirala, Director (Presently Joint Secretary) Sri P K Goel, Consultant Sri A K Das and all other Officials of DFS for favourably considering our long pending demand for pension revision.

We are immensely grateful to our Honourable Chairman Sri Shaji K V for his deep understanding of the problem and strong support without which it would not have been possible to get this two-decade old problem resolved. On behalf of all Retirees of NABARD, AINREWA would like to convey our sincere thanks to our Chairman.

Our grateful thanks to CGM, HRMD, GM PPD and all HRMD Officials for their help and support in presenting the issue in forceful manner before Govt of India.

We are grateful to Honourable MPs Sri Ganesh Singh (Lok Sabha), Smt. Aparajita Sarangi (Lok Sabha), Sri Prasanna Acharya (Chairman, Petition Committee of Rajya Sabha), Dr. Amar Patnaik (Rajya Sabha), Sri Tejaswi Surya (Lok Sabha), Sri Sadananda Gouda & Sri P Kishan Reddy, Former Union Ministers and many other MPs and Ministers who have supported our cause and personally intervened at highest level to facilitate approval of our pension revision.

AINREWA would like to place on record and our sincere thanks to some of our seniors like Sri T K Kashiviswanathan, our Ex-President, Dr. P Kotaiah, our Ex-Chairman, Dr. M C Bhandari,Chairman of the Core Committee et al for their guidance and support from time to time.

Association has also got immense support from our Units who have directly and indirectly ensured intervention through Ministers/MPs and other dignitaries for resolution of our long pending demand. Special thanks to our Delhi unit for following up the issue with DFS at their level. Many of our members have also made individual efforts to break the ice. Association is thankful to all our units and members for their valuable contributions in the matter.

Our special thanks to our members Sri K C Panda & Sri S N Jena, who helped us in procuring valuable documents, Sri P K Panda who facilitated initial meeting with DFS & Sri B K Das who arranged our presentation before the Petition Committee Chairman Sri Prasanna Acharya,MP. Many other members have helped us to make our task easier in one way or other. We are grateful to all of them for their valuable contribution.

The invaluable help and support extended by Sri R V Ramakrishna, OIC and Sri V K Pahwa, DGM of Delhi RO in facilitating our discussion with DFS Officials made our efforts very smooth and effective.In fact, their experience and knowledge in handling Senior Govt Officials was mainly instrumental in achieving our long elusive goal.

We are also grateful to AINBOA for their strong support to the cause which ultimately benefitted Retirees as well as serving staff members and opened the door for getting total parity with RBI in the matters of Salary structure and Superannuation benefits.

The above approval effectively made all NABARD Pensioners (except few of our friends)getting pension on par with Pensioners of RBI at present. However, the exclusion of these small number of pensioners from the benefit is not only discriminatory, but also defy logic. It is also against the principle of equality before law and natural justice. This happened despite the strong arguments put forth by both AINREWA and NABARD Management before DFS.

AINREWA will be taking up this issue forcefully with our Management and Govt of India on top most priority basis for removal of this anomalous position at the earliest. We are sure this issue will also be resolved.We have only one category and that is NABARD Pensioners.
