UPDATION OF PENSION IN LIC

I don't agree that the delay in delivery of justice is only due to fresh Writ Petitions having been filed after 31/3/2016.In my opinion that was the right step taken by fresh petitioners because the earlier petitions except the one filed by Class I retirees Federation had no representative character.Mr KML Asthana's petition was for 26 petitioners and the Penchkula petiotion was in respect of 31petitioners.Filing of WPs by AIIPA,AIRIEF and Retired Class I Officers' Association  cover the retiree-members of these Associations and any benefit flowing from the SC decision will ensure that all pensioners  get the benefits.
Rule 66 has been included in the CCS Pension Rules 2021, but Central Government pensioners have been getting upgraded pension from 1/1/1996 with implementation of 5th CPC Recommendations  by the Government. The effect of Rule 56 is that whatever benefits flow to Central Government pensioners should be available for LIC employees also even in the absence of Rule 66 .Now that Rule 66 has been incorporated in the CCS Pension Rules 2021, this right for revision of pension has been documented. If we demand revision of pension as per rule 66, then we lose the right to get revision  before 20th December 2021.
We have been fighting the cases for the past 25 years. We need to logically pursue the case in SC and get benefits with retrospective effect.
