The end of a Crusader

I am deeply distressed at the news of the passing away of shri KML Asthana at Jaipur yesterday (10/10). The several occasions I could get to meet him in the corridors of the supreme court flashed in my mind instantly.

It is an UNDENIABLE fact that he was the PIONEER in taking the genuine problems of LIC Pensioners to judicial scrutiny. It was his action that motivated me to initiate proceedings in Delhi HC way back in 2007 as then activist of the federation of retired LIC class1 officers Associations on the 

issue of DR anamoly.  All others woke up only later .

His never ending zeal in pursing his case in the supreme court was something unparalleled.  We very rarely come across people like him with total devotion to a cause.

May his soul rest in peace and may his tribe increase. - OM Shanti
