1)It is a sad commentary that more than even 8 days of LICPress release containing  Announcement of 17 % increase in wages etc & also containing reference to Pensioners who built up this solid organisation LIC, earlier characterised by almost Every Chairman as FOUNDERS,but numerical mentioned in PRelease  referred to 30,000 pensioners, no reliable news flashed by 

anyorganisation,except to boast Notification will come yesterday gone,today gone,tomorrow ??

2)I was determined to probe & find out  Correct position,I phoned  EDPer,phone switched off,  I laboured to contact his LLNo,ringing & ringing & customary voice,busy & not responding,contact little later !

Earlier calls for many years methodically done,though costing a lot,atleast PAs in responsible positions as a conduit to assist the boss & also to satisfy the caller or the client,became familiar with ,many PAs & at one stage ,I grew impatient to tell them boldly I am SuperSr citizen ,aged 84,already introduction I had done RBK,EDRetd, Chennai,Patron AIRIEF & atleast help me to connect MD or ED after they return from meeting ,Group discussions etc to save me time,energy & money ,as too often 3 calls at intervals to Concerned MD,ED or Chief even

3)Yesterday as I failed to get any connection , I wanted to pursue my relentless quest ,phone call comes at night yesterday from Chief OS & I introduced myself,he says he knew as I had spoken to him after MD authorised on, then to Extend September,October,November, to extend Final December 2023 for NO-MEDICLAIM COVER Pensioners to OPT  & avail crucial desirable cover for them & family & ALL Divisions ALL over India can enhance quality efforts to convince of dire need to avail much-needed basic cover, in these trying times of healthcare.

   Chief OS conveyed he is at Hyderabad, goes to Jaipur ,then only after work is over,to Mumbai

4)SO, I had  no choice but to contact MD Mr RDoraiswamy ,whom earlier years,quite a few times I kept in touch ,as then ED IT/SD & I found him to be reasonable & thorough & helpful too.MD even responded to my Customary New Year Greetings January 2024.PLUS he is one of the youngest with full 3 years to go.

    i) I  told him all await with bated breath,final  Notificationon wage settlement for Employees,particulara etc.I conveyed the concern we Pensioners have of the  LIC PRELEASE announcing Exgratia    payment to 30,000 pensioners for the meritorious work done by them in building this wonderful Organisation 

    ii)i placed before him the data of 50,000 RP & 23000 FP ,constituting app 73,000 Pensioners & this  Discrepancy must be resolved, as LICcannot segregate upto certain  Pensioners Groups,drawing a line somewhere arbitrary. ,        

     iii)Even when he said this is not under his Portfolio, I persisted saying that in Crucial all important decisions, all MDs will be taken into  confidence, he was instrumental for many Pensioners Utilities,like DATA, PORTAL,,LIFE Certificate ,high level of i-feap Programmes & more, he can help resolve this Discrepancy so as not to hurt already beleagured pensioners, with 22,500 already dead & are dying & so to please his extended helping hand

    iv) I added few months before when our AIRIEF met worthy Chairman, he expressed positive clearnce of A ge related increase in Basic pension at ages 80,85,90,95 & 100 with % 20,30,40,50 & 100 % respectively & such Numbers being Very few  could be granted sooner, as timefactor is most important for Pensioners.

    v) i pleaded noone needs in substitution of Domiciliary atleast SAME CMB,Cash Medical Benefit ranging from Rs9800 for class 3 & 4 to highest Class 1 ED level Rs29,900 which normally gets enhanced every Charter.

     vi)I apologised for taking his valuable time & requested that he can ensure ALL Circulars affecting Pensioners  be immediately flashed to ALL Pensioner Fedns to ensure immediacy & needed groundwork to be done at  ZO,DO,BO etc.We felt sorry that this Client-friendly  Empathetic decision taken by then Chairman Sri DineshK Mehrotra continued for 5/6 years & stopped !  

5)As I was not able to get ED OS ,CO yesterday,today I tried,She was on the line.She could Immediately recognise me, my voice & added glad,Sir,still same vibrant voice,that was Mrs ArunaRoy Seth

       She said no news re Notification so far.I then told her Bankers are getting Arrears today ,they were on the dot even during many IBA talks & many Assns/fedns. Not only that,after a very brave fight pensioners could get thro then MD talks with RBI Top Mgt & relentless fup,from May 2020,irrespective of Saturday,Sunday, Holiday,pENSIONERS must get pension credited  to their bank accounts,reinforced by RBI Governors dictat the Banks must keep adequate flush funds to honour ALL Payments & satisfactorily working.

I added NOW bankers are getting Pension paid on Earlier Month last working day   & so this thought must crystallise & implemented for LIC pensioners.ED OS move in this right direction will hasten for us too,I added

 I then went on to mention Same Issues I projected to MD & pleaded for her to pay prominent attention to make Elders,Sr & SuperSr Pensioners lives happier,

She was aghast,she said, at such finer points all round presented to her

  I said if I can take liberty, years before  a gruesome accident took place,I was worried, i was in touch with CO then,she Confirmed it is SAME ARUNA Seth ,she is normal, she tided over with grit & determination .I congratulated her, told her Rishab Pant Delhi Capitals IPL 2024 resumed after long gap,same Courage,Bravery, playing well & also as Wicket keeper with 24 hrs agility !

   She concluded she still remembers the professional training given with aplomb  & distinction & created many prominent personalities,  she  was happy to be in touch again.Welcome

 6)All these took 345pm to 515pm,not satisfied I wanted Recheck with RMOS ,SZO .Hesaid Nothing has come.I told him I phoned Asst Sy,AOPCell etc & not available.As RBI has ordered ALL Banks to function on 31st March,I told RMOS that it will be glad tidings if Pension is credited Promptly on 1st ------------

 7)Such methodical & frequent talks ,meetings face to face will certainly hasten & find solution to pending Issues & grievances
