The Gazette Notification for the Wage Revision was issued by the Government today. The Wage Revision struggle that commenced with the submission of the Charter of Demands on 11th August 2022 thus comes to a glorious conclusion. We congratulate all the employees for standing solidly behind AIIEA and securing another magnificent wage revision in the most trying situation in the history of our country and in the lives of the people.
Wage Revision is effective from 01.08.2022.
Hike given in wage Bill is 17%. Loading of 16% has been given after 100% neutralization of DA at 8456 points of CPI.
The new Date Rate shall be at the rate of 0.06% for every slab. (Base Year 1960=100)

Quantum of the Special Allowance (introduced in last wage revision) has been enhanced from Rs.1500 to Rs. 3000 for Sweepers, Rs.1600 to Rs.3200 for Peons, Rs.1800 to Rs.3600 for Drivers and Record Clerks, Rs.2000 to Rs.4000 for Assistants, Rs.2500 to Rs.5000 for Stenographers and Rs.3000 to Rs.6000 for HGAs. Needless to add, these shall be reckoned for the purpose of calculation of DA but will not count for any other purpose i.e. HRA, CCA, PL encashment, Gratuity, superannuation benefit etc.
Allowance payable to Cashiers has been increased to Rs.5,820/- per month. Officiating Cashiers' Allowance has been increased to Rs.140/- per day.
Transport Allowance has been increased from Rs.680/- to Rs.1200/-.
In cities with population of 45 lakhs and above : 10% of Pay, Min. Rs.2900, Max. Rs.13,000/In cities with population in between 12-45 lakhs : 8% of Pay, Min. Rs.2500/-, Max. Rs.11,000/Other Places : 7% of Pay, Min. Rs.2400/-, Max. Rs. 10,500/-
In cities with population of 45 lakhs and above: 3% of Pay, Min. Rs.900, Max. Rs.2600/In cities with population in between 12-45 lakhs: 2.5% of Pay, Min. Rs.700, Max. Rs.2500/Other Places : 2% of Pay, Min. Rs.600/-, Max. Rs. 2100/-
Rs.2670/- per month
With the issuance of the Gazette Notification, the benefits of the Wage Revision would now start flowing to the employees. The AIIEA has already requested the LIC management to issue the administrative instructions as early as possible. The Secretariat of the AIIEA that met online on 27th of April 2024 has given a call to the employees to contribute levy to the organisation at the rate of 2 per cent of their net arrears i.e Gross Arrears Less PF and Income Tax. We are confident that our members across the country will enthusiastically respond to this call given the huge contribution of the organisation in ensuring a better life for them.
