I can claim to be one of the pioneers to seek judical scrutiny more than a decade ago on the cruelty inflicted on only Class1 officers alone in the matter of fixation of salary following wage revision and the consequent fixation of pensions on their retirement. I refer in this connection what is known as the case of 92-93 retirees.
I could hardly believe myself that LIC has decided to implement the recent Kerala HC decision to grant revision of pensions to the affected group of Pensioners / Family Pensioners without taking up the matter to the Supreme court. Successive chaIrman/ CEO ( particularly the the present one and his immediate predecessor) could not have taken such a positive deceision on their own and therefore we must thank their 'big brother' , Viz the Govt for their mercy in this behalf.
It is seen from the circular dated 5/6/2024 the central office itself has asked the Divisional offies to identify the beneficiaries and i would like to inform Pensioners' organisations that I have with me list of Pensioners who had retired between 1/8/1992 and 1/4/ 1993. from several Divisions in the country. Of course the list may not be exhausteive and most of them would now be no more but their families could be contacted. Interested Associations can contact me for the list available with me.
