I noticed through the information I got that a retired MD of LIC presently draws a pension less than that of an ED retired after 1/8/2022. Even if a retired MD gets an increased pension based on 8th CPC,an ED retired after 1/8/2027 after the possible next wage revision of LIC may still get a pension higher than the former.
This is nothing but a violation of Article 14 and 21 in the reverse.
This is a consequence of not applying Rule 56 to all employees covered by LIC Pension Rules 1995 because , unlike in Rule 44 of CCS pension Rules 2021, there is no maximum on basic pension for a retired employee of LIC under our Pension Rules..
This is also a point to be discussed with our senior counsel before the next hearing on our Civil Appeals.

When is the next hearing in S C?
Let us pray the hearing takes place as scheduled at least now. Let there be some outcome & not just keeping the uncertainty as it is.
