Officers of LIC never had TU rights as prevalent in all sectors. They were piggy backing class 3 as wages/benefits were proportionately higher for each tier up to ED. For flimsy reasons of opposing pre -computer age Mainframes without Internet about which none imagined and asking Bonus under Bonus Act only made GOI to snatch TU rights under ID Act 1947 for all cadres. Perhaps this made officers happy to select Chamchas among Assts in the name of merit promoted as officers up to the rank of SDM. condemning others as entry cadre as lifelong cadre/HGA unlike Banks where all bank clerks retired as officers which helped them more basic pension. In LIC class 3 is double Number of class 1 where as in Banks officers are double the number Bank clerks. Whether officers don't know GOI got back 21000 crores at the time of IPO ie.,6000 crores more than 12% PA return for 69 years ie., in average in Stock Markets for 5 crores investment in LIC in 1956. So GOI is having 96.5 % shares +dividends for 68 years+ Brand value of one lakh crore which is Windfall profit from LIC. Total value will be 7 lakh crores. if LIc shares up to 49% is sold to investors/15 lakh crores if GOI sheds management control. Officers never asked GOI from the date of IPO to reimburse any shortfall in pension fund for Pension /Upgradation even from 1.9.56 as per actuarial report said to be with LIC for their own promotion and suffer like Hindu Caste hierarchy prevailing from Pre- Buddha period. Whether their counsels in 4 different platforms had been well explained about the windfall profit? One can be rest assured even with 2 member bench give partial relief LIC/GOI will appeal 3/5 member bench to nullify it. Perhaps officers never wanted facts since their joining LIC till this day, whether dead/ alive
