The month of October can be described as the month of great festivities. We enjoyed Durga Puja. Dipanwita Kali Puja . Diwali, Chhath Parab and then Jagaddhatri Puja the remnant and aspect of which is still evident. Devi Jagddhatri is another form of Devi Durga and it is worshipped in all parts of Bengal with grandeur adhering to cultural tradition. But this Puja is predominantly worshipped at Chandannagar and Krishnanagar where the festival is being performed with great enthusiasm and fanfare. Although the origin of Jagaddhatri puja was traced in ancient religious scripts/texts or sloka but the present form of the festival is attributed mostly to Raja Krishnachandra Roy of Krishnanagar for performing this puja in the last part of the 18th century. However, all credit goes to Indranarayan Chowdhury of Chandannagar for expansion and creating immense popularity of this festival which is drawing numerous devotees and tourists alike to have visual experience of beautifully decorated magnificent traditional temple or theme-based temple illuminating with equally matching famous decorative lighting for which Chandannagar is famous. Due to immense popularity and rich Cultural Heritage this Jagaddhatri Puja is also deserved for inclusion in the List of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage.

What India can learn from Israel to become a prosperous one: AI Mode: How a country desert in 1948 like Israel became flourished in all spheres now?
Israel's transformation from a country with significant desert areas and limited natural resources in 1948 to a flourishing developed nation was driven by heavy investment in human capital, innovative technology, substantial foreign capital, and a strong national commitment to development and self-sufficiency.
Key Factors in Israel's Development
1. Human Capital and Education
Highly Educated Immigrants: Early Jewish settlers and subsequent waves of immigration (notably from the former Soviet Union in the 1990s) included many highly educated individuals, scientists, and engineers, which provided a rich talent pool.
Emphasis on Education and Research: A strong emphasis on knowledge and education, with institutions like the Technion and Hebrew University established even before the state's founding, created a skilled workforce and a foundation for scientific research and development.
Culture of Innovation: A "succeed or die" mentality, stemming from the need to survive amidst hostile neighbors and limited natural resources, fostered a culture of creativity, ingenuity, and entrepreneurship.
2. Water and Agricultural Innovation
Advanced Water Management: Israel achieved water security through pioneering water technologies, including large-scale desalination projects (providing around 60-80% of its drinking water) and the recycling of nearly 90% of its wastewater for agricultural use.
Drip Irrigation: The invention and global adoption of drip irrigation by Israeli engineer Simcha Blass in the 1960s revolutionized agriculture by maximizing water efficiency in arid conditions.
Desert Agriculture: Through persistent effort and research, including the use of greenhouses and specialized crops, over 40% of Israel's crops are now grown in desert areas, making the "desert bloom" a reality in regions like the Arava Valley.
3. Economic and Political Factors
Foreign Capital Inflow: Israel received significant financial support, including private donations from Jewish communities worldwide, West German Holocaust reparations, and substantial U.S. foreign assistance, which was prudently invested in infrastructure and development projects.
Government Policy and R&D: The government focused on building infrastructure and established policies supporting industrialization and high-tech development, including grants for start-ups.
Defense Industry Spin-offs: Heavy investment in the domestic military-industrial complex to ensure national security fostered technological advancements in electronics, software, and communications, which then had significant civilian high-tech spin-offs.
4. Transition to a Knowledge Economy
High-Tech Hub: Israel successfully transitioned to a knowledge-intensive, high-tech economy, with Tel Aviv becoming a globally recognized tech hub. The tech sector is now the primary driver of economic growth and exports.
Diverse Economy: The country developed a diverse economy spanning high-tech, manufacturing, and a highly efficient, though smaller, agricultural sector, reducing reliance on any single area.
These combined efforts transformed Israel into a modern, technologically advanced, and economically prosperous nation despite its initial challenges and limited natural resources.
