Life Insurance Corporation of India,
Central Office, Yogakshema, Jeevan Bima Marg,
Mumbai- 400 021
Respected Madam,
We wish to place these long pending demands for the immediate attention of the Management and for perusal with the Government.
Several critical demands approved by the LIC Board remain pending with the Ministry, including:
- •Considering last drawn salary as the basis for calculation of pension instead of last10 month's average salary.
- •Enhancement of family pension up to age 67. In our last discussion with DFS, they have agreed to consider this and it is for the management to pursue further.
- •The honorable Supreme court, under civil appeal no. 2471/2023 has ruled that, increment due should be paid once the required service for granting increment is completed, irrespective of the fact that the employee is in service or not. However, we are still

waiting for instructions from DFS, even though some individuals who approached the court got favorable verdicts. This should be implemented immediately rather than waiting for the instructions and otherwise it will become an unnecessary waste of resources for everyone.
Promotion Round 2026: For the first time in the history of LIC, interview introduced for the promotions to the cadres of ADM and DM, whereby majority of the officer community is exposed to the process of promotion involving Interview, on very short notice. LIC has not disclosed the weightage for interview in the process, creating panic among the senior officers in the cadre of AOs and ADMs. Officers in the cadre of AAOs/AOs and ADMs are taking care of the Satellite and Branch office operations, where core activities are happening in LIC in the operational level. Any action, demoralising the officers at operational level, will not be good at this crucial point. Bypassing seniority violates the unspoken agreement that loyalty and experience are rewarded.
Revision of Pension: The Government has introduced revision of pension in RBI and NABARD. It is the right time for us to pursue the same.
Transfers: We demand consideration of all the request for transfers of officers given after two years, and transferring the services of the officer to the place of request. An officer should be allowed to retire from his place of choice in his last year of service, which is a recognition to the services rendered by the officer for long years to the institution. Instead of adopting this humane policy, the transfer is negated in the last year of service, even for those who completed three years in the present station.
Officer who has completed 3 years in audit/Ombudsman/Inspection should be allowed transfer to conventional offices if they have registered a request transfer. The 4 year compulsory tenure contradicts 3 years request transfer provision of TMP.
We request management to give promotion scale to all eligible officers in last year of service even if their batch is not touched owing to vacancy in recognition of their dedicated service to the corporation.
The Chief election commission has issued orders vide letter dated 19th December 2025 to pay extra compensation at Rs.30,000 for all employees picked up as Electoral role micro-observers from the parent organisations. Even though Banks have started the payment no such instructions are issued from our side. Please give the instructions immediately to pay this compensation.
Immediate enhancement of all fringe benefits to class-1 officers which are already due for renewal.
All pending De-rotation / VRS application should be disposed off before the next round based on their respective merit and rule.
There are number of instances where vigilance proceeding has not been initiated but the officer is deprived of promotion. We request you to have a clear & transparent guideline on vigilance & disciplinary proceeding. We are not to protect the erring officials. Our request is to expedite hearing & complete the proceedings within the schedule time frame.
All Zonal Managers and Sr. Divisional Manager should be advised to follow the CO TMP policy & not their whims and preference.
Officers should be allowed to continue beyond eight / ten years in a centre if there is no incoming request transfer application for the same place.
Force transfer to Marketing Assignment should be avoided. Minimum suitability should be considered.
Most of these benefits are already available to our similar organisations which work with Government funds to pay their benefits including salary and pension. We are a marketing organisation making profit by
Federation of LIC Class-I Officers' Associations
competing with 26 private companies and are paying employee benefits without depending on the Government. Hence these should be implemented in LIC without any delay.
The Federation of LIC Class 1 Officers Association of this Corporation reaffirm their collective dedication to the continued growth and stability of LIC. Historically, our cadre's strategic foresight has been the foundational pillar of the organization's success; currently, it is our disciplined execution that navigates the complexities of a shifting financial landscape. As we transition into the future, we pledge our continued expertise and professional integrity to drive LIC's progress, ensuring we remain the premier insurer in the nation. We stand as committed partners to management in our shared mission to uphold the trust of our stakeholders and achieve new milestones of institutional excellence.
With regards
Yours sincerely
S. Rajkumar General Secretary

Class one officers of LIC seem to be in panic mood for introducing interview while considering their promotions for the first time in 69+ years after four to six automatic promotions before. They were in merry mood when they were members of promotion committee for class three ie., Asst, SH,HGA, Supdt awarding zero to single digit percentage to the maximum weightage which was given to their chamchas in the cadres of Asst on wards. Further chamchas were awarded maximum weightage in their annual confidential reports. Granting possible lowest weightage to others for others in collaboration with 85% strong anti-worker/anti-promotion, anti-pension and its upgradation AIIEA without giving any notice to any person affected concerned for improving their work resulting Assts retiring in entry level job itself which never happened in any PSU. Karma punished one and all and continues the punishment every five years after with no TU rights for 44 years for class 3 and class1 for 69 years to one and all. So there is no remedy for past sins. No one seems to regret for the stagnation during dynasty rule and for the abuses showered on a great PM who gifted pension and economic reforms which enabled working class to get 3% increase in real wages every year culminating double the real wages now.
