This statistics shows how much LIC retirees are enjoying high standard of living with their kin all over the world than they were while in service.

If believing in God and the Bible is so ludicrous, why do so many people (a majority) believe so strongly in it? QUORA: John Hunter
If manure isn't delicious, why do trillions of flies eat it?
Also, do you count everyone who doesn't believe in the same god as you? If so, you're in the minority, as most people on earth do not believe in your god. Even within your own religion, Christianity is fragmented into 40,000 denominations worldwide, and over 200 just in the US, and every denomination disagrees on some non-negotiable point with all of the rest. You're in a conglomeration of tiny groups that pretend to be the same, through “ecumenism”, because people long ago realized this problem. Interestingly, most Christian denominations do not include Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses in this. A good many Protestants don't even count Catholics as Christians, which removes the bulk of your imagined group size, right away.
Also, do you REALLY believe “strongly” in something that requires social pressure, cherry picked quotes to avoid the obvious garbage, and two hours per week of reinforcement to not slip gently out of it?
Yeah, get back to us when you have this all sorted out, and can all agree on that single source of truth that you pretend talks to every one of you directly, every day. In the meantime, it's weird that you're all getting totally different messages, isn't it? I wonder why that would be, if it were real… because it's very obvious why that would be, for something you all made up.

A majority of people believe in the Bible? What planet did you fall off of? Christians (the people who believe in the Bible) only comprise about 25% of the global population. That is far from a majority. And even among that 25%, many are what’s known as “nominal Christians”. That’s the people that call themselves Christians but don’t participate in the religion or place any significance in it. Usually people who just call themselves Christian because that’s what they were raised in. That cuts your believer count down significantly. 20% might be a generous estimate. So, 20% of the world actually believes the Bible on some level. And this is what you call a majority?
Also, you’re committing a fallacy known as “Argumentum ad Populum.” The Argument from Popularity. People believing something doesn’t make it true. If 100% of people believed the world was flat, that wouldn’t make the world flat. If 100% of people believed the Moon was made of cheese, it would still be made of rock.
The Bible is ludicrous because it doesn’t conform to reality. When reality and scripture don’t line up, it’s not reality that’s in error.

Those who believe in the Christian god are not a majority.
If belief in Allah and the Quran is ludicrous, why do so many people believe so strongly? Surely it’s the same answer, right? ichael Kay
Very simple, Indoctrination from living within the social structure and having those beliefs passed on and pushed onto the populous for 2000 years. THE same as other religions of the world do and did to their populations within their countries.
NOW people are not afraid to talk, speak out and think critically, knowing they will not be tortured, jailed or killed ( in the western world anyway) Christianity is loosing its followers faster than at any time in history as the human race grows up. NOT letting fear rule. Being able to address reality and realise how absurd such psychological needy crutch religion is.
IN just 50 years the USA has gone from 96% religious to about 68–71%, the UK has gone from about the same 95/96% to ONLY 49% so we are now officially irreligious, and it is growing year on year !!! Jay Smyth
Lack of education, ignorance of science, indoctrination, coercion and bribery for compliance.
Threats of hell are powerful when used on those who don’t know better - like children. What sort of scum threatens a child? Theists.
Any more silly questions? Thomas Ryan Matthews

Precisely because the majority of people ((they know)) believe in it.
Humans are psychologically social animals. We yearn for and do best in communities and tribes.
We did an experiment a few years ago, where test participants were brought into a room, and there were 3 lines on a board. They were asked to evaluate which lines were the longest to shortest.
They then had group sessions where they had a majority of individuals in on the experiment, but only a handful weren’t. The majority all agreed vocally and strongly that the shortest line was the longest.
if those actually being evaluated, 90% changed their viewpoint that the shortest line was the longest. It’s human nature to presume you are WRONG if you run against the majority. It takes actual courage to evaluate your position in contra to the majority.
And this exposes why religion is so malicious—-you believe the absurdity thereof NOT because there is a good reason too, but because those around you as a majority do, and your subverting your OWN opinion in favor of others because of human nature.

We know that atheists have been around a long time, since at least the Ancient Greeks and others. What was the trigger that created the conditions for this lack of belief so long ago? Was it that science was becoming more sophisticated then? Derek W London: Aged retired scholar and lifelong explorer of science:
Recognising the utterly ludicrous nature of historically inaccurate and historically unsupported scientifically absurd mythological fiction has always been straightforward to the better educated and as more people across the now predominantly non-religious secular democracies of the developed world are better educated, the eccentricity of relIgionism has been reduced to a declining minority.
When barbaric relIgionist ruled through terror, torture, persecution of intellectuals, obstruction of education and general oppression, rational atheists hid their rationality for self preservation.
Now the rational are in the majority, we make the rules and the laws. James Claiborn

Since humans are born atheists, atheism has been around as long as humans. Neanderthals left some carved figures and had burial rituals that suggest they may have developed religious beliefs 300,000 years ago. There are non-theistic religions such as Buddhism and Confucianism which are about 2500 years old. Some ancient Greek and other thinkers expressed ideas that are consistent with atheism. The term Atheist and making positive statements that there are no gods, as well as the English word atheist seems to have first appeared in the 16th century. Alec Cawley
Raised and educated Christian, but atheist by sixteen I think it was the other way round. People were urged to worship, sacrifice to and pray to a variety of gods, sporots, demons and so on. And it didn’t work. So people stopped believing in the first set of supernatural beings. And they asked themselves how they could tell when someone told them about the real gods, as opposed to the many, many false gods. And they could not answer that question. And until someone could answer that question they wouldn’t believe in any of the many gods on offer.
