Man has made progress from the bow and arrow to the atom bomb, from the bullock cart to the jet plane that travels at 1,600 miles per hour. That is generally called progress. But is there progress in any other direction, inwardly? Have you, as an individual, progressed inwardly? Have you found anything for yourself? We know what other people have said and what they say they have found, but have we found anything for ourselves? Are we more charitable, more kind? Are our minds more expansive and alert, inwardly? Have we put away fear? Without that, to make progress in the world, is to destroy ourselves.
What is the use of being Number One in the world, when 25000 unit employees with sky high hope retired with stagnant wages for 37 years with no pension died in penury when entry level job became life long job of Assistant while in service. They were the supporters of Nationalisation when it was fashion at that period of fake socialism. They were in forefront of false agitation for decades conditioned by their TU that they will loose their jobs as they were haunted by "Hire and Fire" policy of previous employers when Main frames which are nothing worth of subsequent computers with Internet even when LIC assured them no retrenchment with number of promotions. Even 25000 new recruit of Assitants died in penury as Asst/A+30 ie., SH/HGA with pittance of pension not upgraded till death. Instead of being model employer LIC with one lakh crore windfall profit took vengeance with heart on poor class three unlike RBI and even bank management which was compelled to write off 12 lakh crores. LIC could have diverted 3% to retitrees from 15% real wage increase every 5 years for 3 decades granted to In-service by accepting the Universal Principle of "Pension is avoiding litigation process undisbursed wage" which was low during Service paid on retirement avoiding litigation of decades.
