SAMADHAN SAMAROH 2026

“SAMADHAN SAMAROH 2026”,
it is a Special Lok Adalat organised by the Supreme Court of India to encourage parties to settle suitable pending cases through mutual agreement rather than a prolonged hearing process. It began as an initiative from 21 April 2026 and culminates with Special Lok Adalat sittings on 21–23 August 2026.

How SAMADHAN SAMAROH works

1.Identification of suitable cases
Pending cases that can be settled through compromise are identified.

Examples
include matrimonial disputes, motor accident claims, cheque bounce matters, land acquisition disputes, compoundable criminal cases, labour disputes, and other cases suitable for settlement.

2.Voluntary participation
Both parties must agree to try a settlement.
No case is settled without the consent of all concerned parties.

3.Application/Request
A party can request inclusion of a case in SAMADHAN SAMAROH through the prescribed form available on the Supreme Court website.

4. Pre-settlement discussions
Meetings may be held with the parties and their lawyers to explore a mutually acceptable solution.

5 Special Lok Adalat hearing
A bench facilitates discussions and helps the parties arrive at an agreement.

6.Final settlement
Once an agreement is reached, a settlement award/order is passed, which has legal validity and brings the dispute to an end.

7.Benefits
Faster resolution of disputes.
Less expense and fewer court appearances.
A cooperative solution acceptable to both sides.
Reduction of the burden of long-pending cases.

Above is a ChatGPT generated post.
